Digitally Downloaded 90/100

« Doraemon Story of Seasons brings the best of the long running Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons formula together with a true cultural icon of Japan. It's rare that the Doraemon video games make their way out west, but this one works so well as a Story of Seasons title that if it is your introduction to Doraemon, you're in for a treat. Even if it means you'll then have around 1,700 episodes of the anime to catch up on (and no, that's not an exaggeration). »

Switch Player 90/100

« Doraemon: Story of Seasons really pulls you into its story and makes you invested in what happens to its characters. Its perfect pacing and easy to understand play make it all the easier to lose yourself in. »

Nintenderos 88/100

« Doraemon: Story of Seasons is a great adventure and farming simulation RPG that takes the best of the Story of Seasons saga and mixes it with the humor of Doraemon, giving us a game with which we can enjoy many hours if we are fans of the genre. »

NintendoWorldReport 85/100

« Doraemon: Story of Seasons combines the two series into a wonderful new experience on Switch. There’s nothing here that breaks the mold, but that is the charm of Story of Seasons: it feels comfortable and easy to get into, and this iteration definitely goes out of its way to help you ease into the gameplay. If you can get through the excruciatingly long introduction, this is a well polished, beautifully-drawn version of Story of Seasons that anyone familiar with the series will love. »

GameCritics 85/100

« Doraemon: Story Of Seasons is one of the nicest surprises of the year. I wasn’t expecting a non-Stardew Valley farming sim to grab me like it did, and I certainly wasn’t expecting it from a Doraemon game, but here we are. On top of a great evolution in the farming RPG genre, it’s also a fantastic use of a coveted license. Stardew Valley 2 is probably a long way off, but the people that gave Eric Barone most of his ideas have just given us a substitute worthy of both franchises. »

CD-Action 85/100

« It’s definitely worth checking out after Stardew Valley. Even if Doraemon Story of Seasons is not as complex as Eric Barone’s game, it still does often pleasantly surprise – and that surprise element is something that was long missing in Story of Seasons. [13/2019, p.86] »

Critical Hit 80/100

« While maybe straying a bit too close to older games in the series, Doraemon Story of Seasons still delivers a charming role-playing farm experience with a gorgeous aesthetic and satisfying gameplay loop. »

GamePro Germany 80/100

« Doraemon: Story of Seasons gives me exactly what I've been hoping for in recent years from a Harvest Moon game. »

« Jul 4, 2022 (Oct 11, 2019) Menuda grata sorpresa el juego va de fábula en Nintendo Switch, buenos subtítulos en castellano, mapa amplio, variedad de elementos, buenos gráficos, buena música, una joya escondida. Muy recomendado. »

BlackFang 8/10

« I am not going to lie, I got this game out of nostalgia for Doraemon, its one of those anime that I grew up with. The game play itself is very similar to all the farming game but the mini game is what makes it fun. Its very, very relaxing, and I am definitely a bit biased due to the after mention nostalgia. Voice over is great, and no romance, since the characters are from a different world with story already set in. Performance and Graphic is very good, not for everyone but for me, I love it. »

LTWasabi 3/10

« The graphics are really nice and the game play is not bad. But, this game suffers from "Japanese **** syndrome" of making cut-scenes last for 7 hours with zero impact on story. For example, the starting scene lasted for 1 hour, give or take 10 mins (and no, I am not exaggerating). It constantly takes you out of game play for some pointless cut-scene that lasts for a long **** time. Thank the gods some cut scenes are skippable. This is my second dive into "Harvest Moon" series, my first one being on an old GBA game, can't remember which one. I don't care about the "No marriage" option which a lot of people seems pissed about. Can't even remember if the GBA game had it or not as I didn't care. I do not know much about Doraemon franchise or Harvest Moon. I bought this one 'cos the graphics looks amazing. Not pissed at the gameplay, it's actually fun. Angry at the amount of immersion breaking hour long cutscenes. To make things worse, my 1 month old puppy can come up with a better story than this crap. Remove the cutscenes and the **** story (why even bother with a story in a sim game?) and you have an amazing and relaxing game. Avoid if you actually want to play a game. Buy if pressing start and selecting "Yes" when asked to skip is your thing. P.S. In sound settings, set voice volume to Zero. Trust me, I'm doing you a huge favor here. »

« Perhaps the reason why I did not like this game is because I have never seen any Doraemon related media before. But even so, this game is such a drag. The main character is irritating and stupid. The introduction is incredibly long winded and boring. The farming aspects and variety have been toned down and because you're playing as that silly little boy, there are no marriage options. The graphics are impressive though and it is a really pretty game. But overall, I hope they never make a game like this again. »

SydTheDog 9/10

« Fantasic Farming sim which i enjoyed very much, the games stable and very fun to play »

acogiscute 10/10

« It's so damn good. The visuals are fantastic same goes for the soundtrack. Though the cutscenes can get boring. But if you overlook that you have an incredible farming sim. »

« Un gioco carino, gestionale della fattoeia con alcune chicche tratte da doreamon. Piace molto a mia moglie »
