Deus Ex: Human Revolution is an action role-playing game developed by Eidos-Montréal and published by Square Enix. The game is a prequel to the original Deus Ex (2000) and the third installment in the Deus Ex series. The gameplay combines first-person shooter, stealth, and role-playing elements. It features exploration and combat in environments connected to multiple city-based hubs, in addition to quests that grant experience and allow customization of the main character's abilities with items called Praxis Kits. Set in the year 2027, players control Adam Jensen, a security officer for Sarif Industries, a company which develops controversial artificial organs dubbed "augmentations". After an attack on Sarif, Jensen undergoes extensive augmentation and investigates the shadowy organization behind the attack. The story explores themes of transhumanism and the growing power of megacorporations and their impact on social class. It also uses the series' cyberpunk setting and conspiracy theory motif.

Critiques de la Presse (Metacritic)

Official Xbox Magazine UK 100/100

« Human Revolution stands proudly alongside the best in cyberpunk fiction, in any medium let alone just games... So few games allow you to carve a subtly unique path through every single encounter and, while major plot points remain the same, you'll feel like your journey was your own. [Sept 2011, p.80] »

1UP 100/100

« It's rare that I play a game that doesn't just let me play the way I like, but actually showers me with prizes for doing so, and I love it. »

IncGamers 100/100

« Despite the quality of the combat, the emphasis on gameplay options, the diverse set of augmentations and the substantial side-missions, what will stay with me about Human Revolution is its focus on creating a rich, believable world filled with interesting characters, themes and conflicting ideals. The mere fact that it aims for such lofty narrative heights is commendable, the fact that it achieves them is worthy of celebration. »

GamesRadar+ 100/100

« Intelligent, fun, challenging and beautifully realized, DX:HR is an incredibly polished game that lives up to the impossibly high standard of its predecessor. »

Total Video Games 100/100

« In a stealth genre that's been abandoned by its heroes on current-gen platforms, Deus Ex: Human Revolution remains true to its roots and provides the sequel that we'd all hoped for but feared would never live up to the billing. Games don't get much better than this. »

Gaming Nexus 100/100

« Deus Ex: Human Revolution is an incredible gaming experience. Whe game isn't the "best" in terms of any one of its individual traits, it is really good at all of them... resulting in one of the best games of our generation. Though it is unlikely that its accolades and status will ever eclipse that of the original Deus Ex, it definitely stands as a worthy successor in the series. »

GamerNode 100/100

« There are plenty of open-ended games out there, but few really emphasize player choice like Deus Ex: Human Revolution. The result is the follow-up Deus Ex fans have been waiting for and one of the year's best. »

GameOver.gr 100/100

« In this current gen's masterpiece, Philip Dick meets William Gibson and Blade Runner meets the original Deus Ex. We can't see how on earth Warren Spector will stick with making another Disney game. »

pranjal779 10/10

« One of my Fav settings, only they announce a new Deus Ex games, with a really banger story I will be so happy I know because both the games have a rushed Ending in my opinion, well I am not sure for how rushed is Mankind Divided but It's amazing, the hacking, exploration, combat, story, they knock it out of the park, the Non-Lethal and Lethal take-downs are awesome. my favorite gun is ofcourse the Pistol, and the Double barrel shotgun I have played the game in non-lethal way in both the way. and ofcourse Jensen is one of the sexiest looking detective protagonist in my opinion in video game just that the story could have been could have been stronger, for me it is a 10, but I know the ending is rushed. but I had fun reading up all the pickables, interacting with the NPCs and all the side stories when I will do the Lethal Playthrough I add more details »

INS4NITY 8/10

« Deus Ex: Human Revolution is a gripping cyberpunk RPG with deep storytelling and multiple gameplay approaches. The blend of stealth, hacking, combat, and dialogue choices offers great freedom. The world-building is immersive, enhanced by a moody soundtrack and strong voice acting. However, boss fights feel out of place for a game that encourages different playstyles. Despite some rough edges, it’s a must-play for fans of immersive sims. »

« It's amazing, the hacking, exploration, combat, story, they knock it out of the park. »

alex_opr 9/10

« Amazing! For me, it scratched my cyberpunk wants from a game. I can't believe how ahead of its time the gameplay was. The semi-open world and level design work even in 2024. I enjoyed almost everything about this game. Bravo! »
