The action of cutting through hundreds of enemies, fundamental to the Warriors series, is fused together with the dark and gruesome atmosphere of the world of "Berserk", making various heretofore unseen acts possible, such as using a giant man-sized sword to cut enemies in half, as well as smash or send them flying with the "Slash" and "Smash" actions.

Dans ce jeu, la possibilité de terrasser des centaines d'ennemis, essentielle dans la série des Warriors, est combinée à l'ambiance sombre et violente du monde de "Berserk", ce qui rend possibles certaines actions jusque-là impossibles, comme se servir d'une épée gigantesque pour couper en deux vos ennemis, ou encore fracasser et projeter vos adversaires en l'air avec les actions "Slash" et "Smash".

« Band of the Hawk exists in a weird purgatory: not a great way to experience Miura's opus, not a great way to experience Dynasty Warriors combat. With middling gameplay that struggles to replicate the heights other licensed entries in the Warriors franchise have, the low-budget retelling of the story proves this series is simply destined for weak, underwhelming adaptations not worth picking up over the manga. »

« If you are a fan of both Berserk and the Dynasty Warriors franchise you will love this hack and slash, gore-fest, that stay authentic to the Berserk anime. There is nothing ground breaking about this game, its a hack and slash with spliced in scenes from the Berserk movies, and television series. I enjoyed it because I am a glutton for completion with Dynasty Warriors-esq titles. This game does fix and expand on the television series season two and I am glad it expanded upon how the show left off. There was potential in this game to have countless characters to play as, yet we are limited in size and scope for playable characters. It's depressing that we will never get to play as the Skull Rider, or other characters such as Pippin, and other various generals and apostles from the Anime series. Fun to play, replay ability, just falls short on its potential. »

I guess if you are a Berserk fan, your mind can only handle hitting one button repeatedly while fighting the same enemies throughout the same three backgrounds. At least this game serves as a containment of sorts from keeping brain dead idiots from getting into anything of substance and keeps their grubby, Cheeto powdered hands off of actually good franchises... If you like your Tolkien knock offs with ****, **** and more ****, you haven't quite figured out games with two button combat, and you like your main characters that carry around 7 foot long swords because they are compensating for having a short sword where it counts, this might be your game of the year. »
