Sorti le 8 novembre 2017 et développé par Stunlock Studios, Battlerite est un jeu de combat en arène PvP disponible sur PC et Xbox One. Successeur spirituel de Bloodline Champions, il propose une combinaison de tir en vue de dessus et de combat intense à travers des affrontements 2v2 et 3v3 hautement compétitifs, privés d'éléments aléatoires pour privilégier l'action. Les joueurs y incarnent divers Champions aux capacités uniques et peuvent personnaliser leur style de jeu via des rites, tout en disposant d'options cosmétiques pour leur compte. Le titre, construit sur le moteur Unity, est classé parmi les genres stratégie, combat, RTS, hack 'n' slash et MOBA, avec un temps de jeu principal estimé à 33 heures et une approche complétionniste à 43 heures et demie.
La presse a salué le système de combat, comme le relève Meristation qui évoque un titre « beautifully crafted and balanced », tandis que FANDOM loue la fraîcheur de ses choix de conception face aux imitateurs de League of Legends. Certains joueurs sur Metacritic regrettent toutefois une communauté déclinée, même s'ils reconnaissent un jeu bien conçu et amusant à partager entre amis, et des avis positifs sur Steam qualifient l'expérience de « pépite » au plaisir de jeu marqué. Battlerite affiche un score Metacritic de 85 et une note agrégée de 83,05.

« Игре катастрофически не хватает онлайна, он колеблется от 200 до 800 человек в сутки, но этого мало для быстрого поиска матчей. Как-то раз я ждал матч почти 20 минут. а длился он всего 2-3 минуты. То есть в нынешних реалиях вы будете накручивать себе лишний онлайн ожиданием боев. Это раз. Второй момент - ты только скачал игру, толком в ней ничего не понял еще, но тебя постоянно бросает в матчи против ветеранов игры. Можно сказать, это побочный эффект низкого онлайна. А так игра мне более-менее понравилась, но в свои сети надолго не затянула. Если вам делать нечего, можете против ботов играть. В матчах с ботами тоже дают золото, за которое открываются дополнительные персонажи. »
