Apex Legends, développé par Respawn Entertainment et édité par Electronic Arts, est un jeu de tir tactique de type battle royale sorti le 4 février 2019. Il se déroule dans l'univers de science-fiction de la série Titanfall et propose un modèle free-to-play mis à jour en continu sous forme de service. Initialement lancé sur PlayStation 4, Windows et Xbox One, le titre a ensuite été porté sur Nintendo Switch en 2021, sur PlayStation 5 et Xbox Series X|S en 2022, puis sur Nintendo Switch 2 en 2025, toutes les versions prenant en charge le multijoueur cross-platform. Une version mobile pour écrans tactiles a été disponible avant d'être interrompue en 2023. Les joueurs incarnent des Légendes aux capacités puissantes dans les Outlands, une région où les conflits de la Frontière sont désormais réglés lors des Apex Games, un bloodsport pour la gloire et la fortune. Le jeu utilise le moteur Source et intègre des achats intégrés facultatifs de devise virtuelle, ceux-ci n'étant pas disponibles en Belgique.
Sur le plan critique, Apex Legends a reçu un accueil favorable, avec un score Metacritic de 88 et un score OpenCritic de 81. La presse a salué l'expérience, comme l'a formulé GamesRadar+ en qualifiant le jeu de battle royale impeccable qui aurait pu être vendu à prix plein mais figure parmi les meilleurs free-to-play existants, tandis que Gaming Age recommandait de le tester sur les plateformes de lancement. Certains joueurs sur Steam expriment un avis positif en le décrivant comme le meilleur battle royale et FPS actuel grâce à ses mécaniques complexes, tout en notant des problèmes persistants de tricheurs, et d'autres, au contraire, déplorent une omniprésence de ceux-ci et une dégradation du jeu à l'image d'EA. « If you have a PS4, Xbox One, or PC, you should really give Apex Legends a try. It’s managed to hit the ground running, with very little in the way of server issues or other hiccups after the first week. It’s clear Respawn has plans to support the title in the long-term, and the six Legends characters available from the start (with two more unlockable via in-game currency) provide enough variety to begin with. This will be the Battle Royale title I stick with for the immediate future, and I’m excited to see this game evolve over time. »

« Legendary game. Easily my favourite game of all time. It's one of the very few games that has genuinely improved with almost every single update. The developers have mastered the art of changing and expanding the game without making it feel worse, boring, or completely different. That seems like a one-in-a-million achievement these days. Even after all these years, it still manages to stay fresh, exciting, and incredibly fun to play. A true masterpiece and a game that sets the standard for how live-service games should be handled. »
« I've been enjoying Apex legends a lot lately. The gameplay is smooth, matches are fast, and it's easy to get into. When I needed to top up, I used M TCGAME and received my recharge quickly without any problems. Overall, a great experience with both the game and the recharge process. »

« Electronic Arts (EA) uses an automated, draconian moderation system that lacks any human oversight. My main account was permanently banned for a minor chat interaction. When I created a new account via Steam and purchased a Battle Pass, EA issued a Hardware ID (HWID) ban within hours, effectively stealing my money. They allow you to make purchases and then immediately revoke access to the service. Support is completely non-existent—only bots sending automated 'denied' replies. This is a legalized scam. Avoid their services at all costs. »

« Absolute garbage cash grab. How a game can survive 7 years being this terrible is a testament to gaming in the 21st century. 10x more effort is put into selling trash skins than is put into making the game playable. Worst matchmaking and hit regs in an online shooter, full stop. »
