A Gummy's Life est un jeu vidéo de type party game multijoueur développé et édité par le studio indépendant EP Games. Sorti le 10 avril 2017, le titre est disponible sur PC (Microsoft Windows), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S et Nintendo Switch. Il fonctionne sur le moteur Unity et s'inscrit dans les genres aventure, simulation, combat et indépendant, pour un prix de vente de 19,99 EUR.
Le jeu propose des combats basés sur la physique où des bonbons gélifiés s'affrontent dans des mêlées générales locales ou en ligne. Jusqu'à seize concurrents peuvent participer en mode bataille royale en local, tandis que le mode en ligne supporte jusqu'à huit joueurs. Les joueurs choisissent leur bonbon préféré parmi plusieurs saveurs, chacune possédant des statistiques distinctes influençant le style de jeu, et peuvent les personnaliser avec des cosmétiques débloquables comme des chapeaux et des lunettes. Plusieurs modes de jeu sont proposés, dont la patate chaude, le roi de la colline, le match à mort par équipe et la mêlée générale. Les niveaux, nombreux, intègrent des éléments interactifs et des mécaniques variées nécessitant différentes approches. Le jeu supporte manettes et clavier/souris, avec profils de manettes personnalisables.
Côté réception critique, A Gummy's Life obtient une note agrégée de 68,50 et un score OpenCritic de 67. La presse spécialisée a livré des avis mitigés : GameSpace juge le jeu amusant en famille mais un peu difficile à prendre en main, tandis que TheGamer estime qu'il est solide pour ce qu'il est et qu'il trouve davantage sa place sur Nintendo Switch que sur PC. Du côté des joueurs, les retours sur Metacritic soulignent une courbe d'apprentissage initiale ardue pour maîtriser les contrôles physiques, mais apprécient la variété des modes et l'ambiance conviviale pour le jeu en local entre amis ou en famille. Sur Steam, les avis positifs mettent en avant le côté divertissant et propice aux rires entre proches, bien que certains s'interrogent sur le déblocage de certains contenus comme « l'œuf » via le code Konami.

Rag-dolling around, falling over, and tossing each other can lead to some funny, enjoyable experiences. But when isolated to the player and a few bots however, the charm is glazed over by all the flaws of the AI and the online availability issues. »

« I was excited to try this, it looks liked gang beasts mixed with powerstone, and it kind of is that. It needs powerups or something like that. I like the variety of courses, hopefully they add more. It's not as buggy as people say, but it's not as polished as gang beasts. My biggest problem is that you have to knock people out before you pick them up and throw them off the edge, but it's hard to pick them up. Also the cpu is way better at driving vehicles than you are even on easy mode, and it's impossible to pull them off. Perfect? No. Fun for 12 dollars on sale? Yes »
« I love couch party games and always have some amazing times when friends or family come over. At the beginning it's a little difficult to learn to control the gummies properly, but it makes it even funnier. Should have more recognition as the devs keep updating the game. »
