The Simpsons: Road Rage
The Simpsons: Road Rage
Description (IGDB)
The Simpsons: Road Rage is similar to Sega's 1999 video game Crazy Taxi, in that the main objective is to drive picked up passengers to their destinations as quickly as possible. The player receives money upon successfully dropping off each passenger, and bonuses are obtained when they are transported in a short amount of time. Players have to avoid certain hurdles, such as other vehicles and Burns' nuclear transit buses. The game contains sixteen different collectible vehicles, six starting locations, and ten different missions. In order to collect the vehicles and unlock starting locations, players must earn progressively more money for each vehicle or starting location they want to get.
Histoire (IGDB)
Mr Burns has taken over Springfield's transit company and replaced the buses with nuclear powered buses; not only that but they also cost a lot to ride. But the people of Springfield won't accept this and decide to try to take back the transit company from the evil corporate hands of C. Montgomery Burns.

Critiques de la Presse (Metacritic)
« You have the instant playability of the Dreamcast classic ["Crazy Taxi"], but with television's favourite family stuck onto it. How can it go wrong? »
« The details and references to the TV show will provide non-stop amazement. »
« This reckless, Crazy Taxi–like romp around town is like a high-speed dream tour for fans of the series. Almost every Simpsons character in the game is either a driver or a passenger. »
« A game that only Simpsons fans can appreciate. »
« It looks a little worse than the Xbox version, but moves a bit faster and controls slightly better. [Dec 2001, p.93] »
« Easily the best console Simpsons game ever. Considering that the lot it’s in is comprised primarily of crap that isn’t surprising but the fact that I like this game better than Crazy Taxi might be. »
« All the Simpsons characters and environments are lovingly and faithfully recreated, replete with references to specific events in episodes. »
« It’s a fairly well done one but the controls are not nearly as precise [as "Crazy Taxi"], the moves not nearly as cool and the concept is more stale than Apu's old donuts. »
Avis des Joueurs (Metacritic)
« Yeah I get that this is just another Crazy Taxi game but come on - it's The Simpsons! This is still a solid game that is tons of fun and absolutely a must have in my library! »
« En résumé : Concept arcade simple et efficace Intégration fidèle de l’univers des Simpson Présence des voix originales et de l’humour emblématique Variété de modes de jeu disponibles À améliorer : Gameplay répétitif sur le long terme Physique des véhicules et IA perfectibles Graphismes datés même pour l’époque Navigation parfois confuse dans les environnements »
« Yes it rips off Crazy Taxi but it is still one of the better Simpsons games available, especially compared to Wrestling and Skateboarding. »
« You need check game out one the best game and lot action game and good music and story best and good day »
« Great Simpson's game with a ton of great stages and awesome sound bits from each character! Loses points for being a borrowed concept from Sega's Crazy Taxi. The game may be unoriginal but it fits The Simpson's like a foot in a shoe. »
« I know is not the best racing/taxi game. But this one is really fun. Recomended for the fans. »
« Very fun game to play with friends and family. Would give it a 10, but the game gets boring after awhile. The game has challenging levels that can keep you engaged for awhile, but the player vs player can get boring fast if you’re not playing a person at or above your level. Solid game, gets your heart pumping »
« Es un juego divertido, me gusta mucho el mapa y algunos guiños a la saga, pero no es la gran cosa y a la larga se hace muy repetitivo. »
