La presse a souligné l'accessibilité du titre : AusGamers a écrit que le jeu « might not be terribly considerate of solo players and its by-design accessibility might deter DICE’s hardcore Battlefield fans », tandis que Multiplayer.it estimait que si l'on attendait une grande aventure scénarisée, « this probably is not the droid you are looking for ».

AusGamers 90/100

« Star Wars Battlefront might not be terribly considerate of solo players and its by-design accessibility might deter DICE’s hardcore Battlefield fans, but there’s no denying the multiplayer is a hell of a lot of fun, and as far as creating the feeling of being part of a Star Wars movie, it doesn’t get any better than this. »

Multiplayer.it 85/100

« If you were expecting an adventure about heroes and redemption, great characters and an interesting plot, this probably is not the droid you are looking for. But while Battlefront misses the opportunity to be a great single player experience, it fulfills in authenticity and immersion. It's one of the most powerful Star Wars experiences, one that will give you great memories for a long long time. »

Power Unlimited 84/100

« Battlefront is more arcade-y than we’ve come to expect from modern day shooters, but the glorious Star Wars magic makes up for its lack of depth. The game is extremely polished, runs as smooth as Hoth’s snowy surface and will warm the hearts of every Star Wars fan out there. However, Battlefront won’t convert you to the light side if you’re not already a fan of Lucas’ space opera. »

IGN Spain 83/100

« As a playable Star Wars version, Battlefront has no rivals. But as a game, there's not enough content to entertain players for months. »

GameCrate 83/100

« Some may argue that DICE's Star Wars Battlefront lacks longevity to stay the course on the market, or that more could've been done with it. But the developer went through a massive undertaking to not only reinvent the franchise, but also reassure gamers that this would hardly be another Battlefield blunder. It's great to report that both goals have been completed with flying colors, and, as a result, Star Wars Battlefront is an engaging multiplayer experience that will certainly make your holidays. »

Gaming Age 83/100

« Is Star Wars Battlefront the first-person shooter that’ll carry me into the early parts of 2016? Probably not. But I’m definitely enjoying the time I’ve spent with it so far, and I’ll be curious to see what the inevitable DLC brings outside of the upcoming Battle for Jakku map. »

LaPS4 82/100

« There is no book or game that makes a better homage to the franchise than DICE's Star Wars Battlefront. Perhaps not the most complete shooter game, but it is one of the best Star Wars games ever made. »

Games Master UK 81/100

« A brilliant Star Wars experience, but with limited life-span and little depth. [Christmas 2015, p.76] »

« The game was amazing and addictive to play I couldn’t put it down when I first started but the community eventually ruined it with all the nerfs EA did. Amazing game you feel like you’re in the Star Wars universe but again EA and the nerfs made it lackluster at the end of its life. »

BarackolypseNow 8/10

« This game was awesome, it's not master class like the OG games but it hits the spot well if you're looking for a modern battlefront. This game even feels like the older games but **** clone wars or separatist style campaign. It focuses on the rebels just like every **** Star Wars game past 2012. »

Agent008 7/10

« DICE's 2015 revival of "Battlefront" lacks the depth of the original 2004 game. It plays like a barebones version of the developer's very own "Battlefield" series. The game doesn't include a single player story mode and only features a few modes for online multiplayer. It's as if EA rushed it to capitalize on the hype of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens". That being said, the game was fun when its servers were filled with players. I'd rate it with a 7 out of 10. »

Guff05 10/10

« You can tell that the devs care about this game with how much detail is in it, making it look like it could pass as a PS5 game today. It only lacks a campaign but the multiplayer is great. I had a blast playing this game on the PS4. »

BM7 5/10

« Good game as a first person shooter of the Star Wars series. Nice customization of your character but poor in content (few maps, no single-player story mode, game that becomes repetitive and without objectives after a short time of playing). It seems like a game published before being completed »

williamgt45 8/10

« Had a lot of fun in this game when it came out. It's fun... play it for the multiplayer if people are still online. »

Lonysi 7/10

Bone_Lich 7/10

« A fine game, though one that quickly gets repetitive and boring after the first few matches. The guns and abilities are interesting, though the lack of variety means even if you mix it up, it doesn’t feel much different. Overall, it’s crazy this game is probably remembered more favorably than battlefront 2. »
