Critiques de la Presse (Metacritic)

RPG Fan 94/100

« If the phenomenal storyline, eye-popping CG cinemas and soulful orchestration weren't enough, the plethora of gameplay nuances and player diversions are sure to make the most jaded gamer giggle like a school girl. »

Game Chronicles 93/100

« A game for gamers and not just RPG gamers. With a carefully blended mix of strategy, intense real-time combat, customizable characters and weapons, and a rich sci-fi universe to explore, there is literally something here for everyone. »

Da Gameboyz 92/100

« I'm very grateful that Square Enix decided to release the Director's Cut version of the game, and not the original (maybe I should thank the bugs for that?). Maybe now tri-Ace will get the respect it deserved since "Valkyrie Profile." »

Gaming Target 92/100

« It's literally an achievement worth every penny. There's an abundance of strategic flavor in the battles, well articulated graphical feats, an apt cementing in sounds, and a nice collection of extras for the truest of role-playing fans -- deep enough to go overboard with more than 80 hours of gameplay. »

GamingTrend 91/100

« This is a great game from the first minute on, and you’ll not want to put this game down if you allow yourself to be drawn into the plot. »

IGN 90/100

« What proves the game's true claim to greatness is that Star Ocean allows its players to take from it whatever they wish; Be it a quick 40 hours of story-based adventure or a full 80-hours of "find everything you can" exploration. »

TotalPlayStation 90/100

« The storyline does an amazing job of slowly expanding in scope (though it does bog down a bit in the middle of the game, most of the stuff it trudges through stays relevant well after the scope of the game has outgrown the smaller conflict), and the twists will absolutely knock you on your ass, while battles are fast, interesting and offer a nicely customizable way to trudge through the grind of leveling up all your characters. »

Cheat Code Central 90/100

« Due to the variety, the solid gameplay, the interesting story and the sheer length of this game, RPG fans shouldn't hesitate to purchase Till the End of Time. It's a great value. »

« This game is just special for the time it was released. Did it age well? Yes, if you accept that it looks like a PS2 RPG. This game captured the vastness of space, but also the localized struggles of warring cities. It has a robust crafting system, tons of end-game content, and encourages you to explore every nook and cranny of the game. The soundtrack is one of a kind for the era. This game is a hidden gem that is not talked about enough when we talk about the "best JRPGs from the golden era." »

Dragonflame771 10/10

« This was my first Entry to the Star Ocean Series. It was a fun time playing it and pretty much my favorite PS2 Game. hope one day they will Make Till the end of time R in the future. »

« Llevo haciendo todos los jrpg que han salido desde SNEs (1990) y este es el más críptico y confuso, que he visto, pero no confuso para darle emoción sino, simplemente esta mal. el mapa no te orientas bien. He superado todos los juegos de fromsoftware y este SO3 tiene zonas opcionales que puedes creer (undeground Mosel Ruins) que es el camino principal y quedarte atascado pensando que es el camino principal y no hay viaje rápido!. Golden sun, Zelda, FFs, Breathe of fire, Tales of etc y nunca vi esto... »

« Star Ocean 3 has a lot of polish for a PS2 RPG, and the quality of the real time battle mechanics is on par with the industry’s greatest. However, a brutal difficulty spike and the introduction of a complex, frustrating crafting system hold back the game’s fantastic world building. A shallower learning curve and a more well-paced story would make this game a genre defining title, but it’s shortcomings prevented me from finishing this one. »

« I truly enjoyed SO: TTEOT. A JRPG that surprised on how good it was. It was the first Star Ocean I have ever played back when it was released on the PS2. »

TJ_of_Carolina 7/10

« The game has horrible gameplay pacing and everytime you get to a new area the enemies are almost twice your level, requiring a lot of grinding. Leveling takes a long time and requires fighting many, many enemies much stronger just to gain one level. The story is mediocre and has a lot of highs and lows, at certain points I found myself struggling to care, The plot twist at the end is the best part about the story »

« Phenomenal game, could it be better? sure. I couldn't say enough about this game. »

SexyTractorDsco 10/10

« One of the best game on the PS2 in my opinion. Also the best game in the franchise by far. True classic. »
