Spin Rhythm XD, développé et publié par Super Spin Digital, est sorti le 14 mars 2023. Ce jeu de rythme inter-dimensionnel, classé parmi les genres arcade, musique et indépendant, rend hommage aux jeux d'arcade de rythme classiques avec une esthétique moderne et une bande-son orientée musique électronique. Le titre propose un gameplay fluide inspiré de l'analogique, où il faut faire tourner, enchaîner et tapoter pour coordonner les couleurs et le beat, avec des niveaux entièrement séquencés à la main et compatibles avec de multiples périphériques comme le clavier, la souris, les manettes, les appareils de motion control ou des platines DJ en MIDI sur Steam. Disponible sur PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, SteamVR et PlayStation VR2, il comprend soixante morceaux d'artistes tels que Nitro Fun, Hyper Potions ou Pegboard Nerds, et permet la création de niveaux et d'arrière-plans personnalisés. Réalisé sous Unity avec un DRM Steam au prix de 17,99 euros, le jeu affiche un score OpenCritic de 88 et une note agrégée de 87,90. La presse a salué une expérience de rythme en VR sublime grâce à des contrôles naturels et une bande-son EDM remarquable, ainsi qu'un gameplay diversifié et fluide, tandis que certains joueurs apprécient le mode VR peu fatigant et d'autres regrettent que les notes ne correspondent pas à la musique la plupart du temps. Le temps de completion de l'histoire principale est estimé à 5 heures et à 242 heures pour le profil completionniste.

It’s nothing like any rhythm game I’ve played in the past, and I’m fully on-board with Super Spin Digital’s approach to creating a rhythm game that puts the player firmly at the center of the soundstage. It’s the easiest recommendation I can make for any PSVR 2 player wanting a rhythm game that feels and sounds excellent. Now if you will excuse me, I’m off to put my PSVR 2 back on my noggin and get lost in the music. »

« This is a rhythm game for people that love rhythm games. You love Amplitude? Buy this. You really loved DJmax Respect? You definitely want this game. This game is currently on sale for like 13 dollars. 80 tracks and if that's not enough there's already dlc packs if you want more songs. The music slaps my booty too. »
