Space Elite Force est un jeu de tir latéral pour 2 joueurs en mode coopératif local. Avec une grande variété d'armes, d'ennemis et d'améliorations pour votre vaisseau, il offre toute l'intensité, la profondeur et les magnifiques pixels artisanaux d'un jeu de tir latéral classique. Amusez-vous lors de batailles insensées, affrontez des boss épiques et débloquez une grande variété de réalisations dans l'un des trois modes de jeu, seul ou avec un ami en mode coopératif local.

« All in all, Space Elite Force is a simple and solid arcade shoot 'em up that will scratch the itch for those who infrequently need it. With local co-op, SEF becomes a great way to play with somebody without a laborious setup. Ideal for short play sessions or the odd multiplayer marathon, it's an inexpensive treat that provides a fun play experience without compromising on quality. »
« The first game feels like an early build of the second game, with a lot of quality-of-life improvements added to SEF 2. One weakness of the first game is that the bosses have way too much health. Boss battles are endurance tests, great for a challenge but too tedious to be fun. The developers recognized this and greatly reduced the bosses' health in the second game. SEF 2 also added health and shield pickups that occasionally spawn in the level. This is a traditional shmup element that makes a welcome return. »
