« This is, without a doubt, the best fighting game available today for PS2 and may be one of the best ever made. Period. »
« Similarly to the graphics, the sound of this addition is also phenomenally done. »
« There's no denying that Soul Calibur III is the most refined, most feature-rich, and most artistically pleasing fighting game ever released for a home video game console. »
« This is Soul Calibur at its best. Any fan of Soul Calibur is going to love this game, I am assured of that. »
« Everything about the core gameplay and fighting engine has been tweaked and refined and taken to the next level. Soul Calibur III is the definitive fighting game on the PS2 mixing up martial arts, weapons, and more levels, characters, and game modes than you can shake a giant sword at. »
Avis des Joueurs (Metacritic)
« uno dei migliori giochi per ps2 appena sotto il primo, grafica top per l'epoca ps2 e tanto tanto divertimento »
« "Soul Calibur III" is a must-have PS2 exclusive for fighting fans. The game features more modes and content than its predecessors. It's also much tougher in terms of the difficulty level. This sequel adds three new fighters, a Character Creation mode and two campaigns; Chronicles of the Sword and Tales of Soul. Overall, SC III is one of the best entries in the series. I would rate it with an 8.5 out of 10. »
« Um jogo memorável que dispensa comentários. Gráfico top pra época, excelente jogabilidade, modos variados, modo estratégia interessante e uma variedade muito grande de personalização e estilos de luta. Me diverti demais no passado e ainda hoje com os colegas. Com certeza dá pra incluir no meu top 10 de todos os tempos fácil fácil. »
« An amazing upgrade in every way from SoulCalibur 2 except for the difficulty, this is the closest a PS2 game has ever felt to wanting quarters out of my pocket to continue onwards. The AI is ruthless. »
« "Soul Calibur III" is a very good PS2 exclusive. The game is very similar to its predecessors. But the combat is still great. Additions include three new fighters and a Create-a-Character mode. There are also two new single player campaigns; "Chronicles of the Sword" and "Tales of Souls". The former combines RTS with fighting matches, while the latter is a story based mode. It's worth mentioning that graphics have improved and game difficulty has increased. Overall, I would rate this with an 8.6 out of 10. »
« 3 oftentimes seems to be the forgotten SoulCalibur game, mostly due to following the iconic SC2, and preceding the game that featured Star Wars characters, but 3 has a strong argument for being one of the best games. It has its own unique story mode, the introduction of character creations, tons of side missions, tight controls, a great roster of characters, and arcade endings that you can affect with quick time events. The game is still a joy to play nearly 20 years later, and I would love to see a remaster of it. »
« I played this game SO much, even when i was in college many years after the release, i kept playing the game with my friends. So many memories. »
« Almost perfection, maybe some balance issues, and not having a good online player mode with great net coding. But single player experience is amazing. Lastly, it is kind of dated in the graphics, so if someone wanted to give it a 8 star. I wouldn't complain. But I really enjoyed it. »
