Unplayable without changing stuff ( even trying to set my screen <60 fps or AMD slow down feature, it didnt work, game is playing at 3 times the speed it should be....I KNOW, GOTTA GO FAST BUT GOTTA SEE WHAT IS GOING ON TOO )

Want to Know What’s Going to Happen In Sonic 4, Episode 2? Then You Should Pick Up Archie Comics’ Sonic Super Special #3

Could it be possible that Sonic the Hedgehog—after years of underwhelming games—is enjoying a bit of a resurgence? Both the re-release of Sonic CD and the debut of the all-new Sonic Generations have been reminding people how fun it is to play as Sega's mascot. But, as opposed to his game appearances, Sonic's been running strong in comics for a while now. Archie Comics has been publishing comics featuring the sneaker-wearing mammal for more than a decade now, with oversized special issues punctuation a run of 200+ issues. The latest Super Special—due out in a few weeks—features two specific chapters for Sonic aficianados. There's a story in there that tease plot developments for the upcoming Sonic 4, Episode 2 as well as a reprint of a Sonic CD-themed story from the long-ago Sonic the Hedgehog #25. The Episode 2 story serves as a prequel to the downloadable game, so if you want to figure what Robotnik and Metal Sonic will be doing to piss off Sonic, look for Sonic Super Special #3 at your local comic shop.

Games Master UK 91/100

« It's pretty much the perfect Sonic! [March 2012, p.93] »

Destructoid 90/100

« Sonic CD is a great game. I paid $300 for an attachment and $50 for the game back in the early '90s to see Sonic at his best. Now all you need is $5 and a few minutes for a file download. Sega could have easily charged twice as much for this much-loved classic. »

GamesRadar+ 90/100

« Basically, I love this game. And I love it in a way that both fans and Sonic CD newcomers should be able to love it too. Fans will love the care and attention given to the conversion of one of the all-time great Sonic games. »

Vandal 90/100

« This is a gift for Sonic fans. It is not only one of the best Sonic games ever made, but also a great port and adaptation, something not that frequent. Its price is also helpful to recommend it. Although the game doesn't have any improvement in graphics, they have aged well. »

Official Xbox Magazine 90/100

« Given the countless enhancements to this version of Sonic CD, it's surprising that Sega is selling it for a mere $5. Make no mistake: no corners have been cut, and the developers have put in more than enough extra content (in the form of audio and video options) to properly pay tribute to Sonic's finest spin. »

Gamereactor Sweden 90/100

« One of the best Sonic games ever get a splendid re-release with everything intact and a few good extras. This is a history lesson that every gamer should enjoy. »

ZTGD 88/100

« Sonic CD is a labor of love, and for fans, it is a chance to finally play this often talked-about game. If you enjoy classic Sonic games, this is a must own. The amount of polish that went into it is impressive, especially for the low price tag. Sega may have soiled Sonic's name in previous years, but after Generations and now this, I think he is back on the right track to glory. »

IGN 85/100

« Well bad news for a-holes, but good news for Sonic fans: Sonic CD is on XBLA, lovingly recrafted, and you can all enjoy the hell out of it. »

« El mejor juego de sonic en mi opinión Por sus niveles su musica mecánica y jugabilidad »

DannyRater 10/10

« Sonic Cd is truly amazing in every way! The level design with the past and future mechanic is really creative. The bosses are smaller and easier but that’s not really a bad thing. The artwork is phenomenal also with the amazing soundtrack and how ur whole level changes depending if ur in past or future. It brings you metal sonic and the iconic race against him. I dont know how this game doesnt deserve a 10. Truly amazing. »

PlayBackManiac 9/10

« Sonic CD is such an improvement from the first game in the series, everything from its graphics to its gameplay is improved. The game features all fun levels and there is no super rage inducing moments. This game features all good levels with new gameplay elements and sandbox like feelings, as well as every zone having 3 different fun variations that encourages replayability. While the time travel isn’t something im too big on its still cool, this is just a great game. And this game also finally prioritizes going fast and Sonics speed. My only complaint is the boss fights are kinda mid, i wish they were just a bit harder, »

rybread17171 7/10

« A cool sonic game. Love the music. And metal sonic is a fierce antagonist that adds a lot to it »

High_Cream 9/10

« Had a review but it got deleted so just know CD is an amazing entry in franchize, past and good and bad future is SO **** CLEVER and smart i love it, music is great like usual its a sonic game so yeah, play CD if you can »

Ghostlight2006 10/10

« Sonic CD is an absolute masterpiece from start to finish. The soundtrack alone makes it unforgettable — whether you listen to the US version or the EU/JPN version, the music is incredible in its own unique way. The time-travel mechanic is one of the most creative features ever put into a Sonic game, letting you explore Past, Present, and Future versions of each zone with smooth transitions and tons of replay value. The 3D bonus stages are still impressive and fun, offering a unique challenge that feels ahead of its time. And the bosses? Some of the best in the entire Sonic franchise. Each encounter is stylish, creative, and memorable — from the high-speed chase against Metal Sonic to the inventive Eggman fights, every boss battle stands out. A timeless Sonic adventure and one of the best entries in the entire series. »

ProParsa 10/10

« The sega cd and 2011 versions are peak and why I say sonic cd is a master piece:time travel, cool anime sonic design,4 character, metal sonic. I really can't believe this master piece only sold 1 milion copies world wide »

ImGeorge 8/10

« All i can its only a great classic with zero doubt and with a very great soundtrack »
