Nintendojo 100/100

« A great swan song for the DS. Its production values are stellar, the game plays very well, and is chock-full of some sweet content. Plus, it's literally as close to MegaMan Legends 3 that any 3DS owners are likely to get in terms of play, style, and overall feeling. »

Nintendo Life 90/100

« A game that we highly recommend. It has been crafted with care and in painstaking detail, incorporating a lengthy, well-written story with engaging battle mechanics and an impressive variety of quest styles. »

Cubed3 90/100

« The very fact that Nintendo went out of its way to pick up this Third Party game and market it in PAL territories should be enough evidence of how incredible Solatorobo: Red the Hunter is. »

Nintendo Power 90/100

« Solatorobo was clearly a labor of love for its developers, and their enthusiasm for its world, characters, and play mechanics shines through in every moment of the game. [Sept 2011, p.80] »

GamePro 90/100

« A high-energy romp with a fun, 90's anime style story (the G Gundam references are much-appreciated), easy to grasp mechanics, and plenty of things to find and collect. But I think its real strength is that lush world and the truly outstanding cel-shading, which makes me want to take back every bad word I ever said about the Nintendo DS and its 3D graphical capabilities. »

Vandal 88/100

« A great roleplaying action game, with a very well told and structured story, and lots of additional missions which guarantee a lot of hours of play. »

RPG Fan 87/100

« This game has the potential to be the sleeper hit of 2011. »

3DJuegos 85/100

« From skepticism to surprise. That's the road that players will experience if they choose to try one of the best RPG games for DS during its final steps in the industry. A long, varied and visually impressive title. »

« Su trama es increíble su jugabilidad también yo diría que es uno de lo mejores plataformeros en 3d de la nintendo ds »

« This game reminds me a lot of Megaman Legends. It is way better than the prequel series, but not as good as Legends. It is still worth playing once. Be nice if it got a true triple A sequel. Maybe with more races as supposed to only furries. Also, the music was a banger in this game. »

« Probably the best original game made by CC, a sequel to Tail concerto, but expands the lore of this universe, the overall plot is very similar to megaman legends, very interesing for a furry game, regarding the gameplay department: it is very simple, your robot can lift and throw stuff , including enemies, it lacks depth, but is fun, there is also platforming and levels where your robot can fly. Graphics are great for a nds, it mixeds cell-shading 3d modeles with sprites and pre-rendered backgrounds, it gives the world some studio ghibil vibres. overall a good game with great graphics, interesting story dragged down by repetitive combat. »

« This is by the far one of the greatest games ever made under the limitations of the Nintendo DS. It pains me to see this not listed as even a top 50 DS game, and it pains me even more to see Tetris DS be a more favoured game! The developers truly worked so hard to take advantage of the hardware, making this game really stand out above the rest. Having released near the end of the Nintendo DS lifespan, it did not nearly gain as much love from DS gamers. However, this game is iconic for those who know it, not only does it take on its own unique style, but it also innovates on creating a replayable experience with many engaging quests the player can take that also feel very rewarding. As someone who has played countless hours of DS games, and older games as a whole, this game is 100% my first recommendation for anyone looking for a new game to play. The story was also brilliant, told through captivating cutscenes that make the world and story feel much more lively and personal. In other words, "real" game critics hold a massive bias when giving a review to games like these, this game is the peak of Nintendo DS gaming. »

« Solatorobo is the most controversial entry in the little tail bronx series. This game is both a cartoony platformer with a strong emphasis on action and a Japanese RPG with a Xenogears level storyline. Anthropomorphic cute dogs from children's cartoons intersect with human gods from naruto fillers who want to wreak genocide on the canine and feline races with an Evangelion aesthetic. In terms of gameplay, it's a mix of dodgeball, with tons of mini-games like fishing, Mario kart, arena fighting, levitation platforming, all set against the backdrop of some amazing boss fights in the main Zelda puzzle story. But, it is worth moving on to additional missions, as the game makes us work as a loader, cleaner, insect fighter. The main undeniable plus of solatorobo is that they combine the soulfulness of Game Boy Advance and PSP. When Hiroshi was making this game, he wanted to please absolutely everyone, to make it so that every audience would be able to grasp it. He dreamed of making a dream game. But in the end the game turned out just really good. This game has not been able to conquer the masses. »

« An enjoyable hotchpotch of ingredients in this arcade-RPG hybrid with a fun storyline, funky graphics and added robot customisation for mech fans. Progression is a little easy but it's consistently entertaining. »
