Sid Meier's Civilization VI

86 /100
20 octobre 2016 23½ Hoursh

Telegraph 100/100

« For such a complex and in depth game to feel so intuitive is impressive, but for such a game to remain fun, exciting and unpredictable after forty, sixty, one-hundred hours of play? That’s joyous. »

TheSixthAxis 100/100

« Civilization VI is my new favourite addiction that I honestly can’t really fault. Each of the gameplay changes provides a fresh challenge, but they were well worth undertaking once they clicked. It’s packed full of the stuff that made the previous games great, but also has a crisp style that makes things clear enough when the game gets extremely busy. »

Twinfinite 100/100

« Civilization VI is still the supreme deity of historical turn-based strategy games. Sure, there are a few technical issues. Load times can be lengthy, and multiplayer could definitely be a lot more stable. However, none of those problems are big enough issue to put a dent in Civilization VI’s armor. If you love the series, history, politics, and/or turn-based games, Civilization VI is a must own. »

Areajugones 100/100

« Civilization VI has reached perfection inside the turn based strategy genre. Complex, addictive and with a very strong personality, Firaxis wants us to spend hundreds of hours in front of our PC. »

New York Daily News 100/100

« The most empowering and mentally stimulating turn-based game in recent memory, a game that can never be played on autopilot. To battle through Civ VI is to be engaged in a sim from beginning to end, never throwing away a turn - because you never ever want to, because you always want to play. »

LEVEL (Czech Republic) 100/100

« Although it’s not without flaws, the sixth Civilization brings a lot of outstanding news and makes its mark into the history of the series as crucial point break to a slightly new form of a good old recipe. [Issue #269] »

LevelUp 98/100

« Improving on its predecessors, Civilization VI stands on the shoulders of giants to reach beyond them. With more freedom, personalization, complexity and meaningful choices than ever, the game is every inch as addictive as ever, even to the veteran, who will toil with the improved difficulty, new victory conditions and mechanics. A masterpiece. »

CGMagazine 95/100

« A visually resplendent strategy game that makes every turn feel important and every approach viable. »

« Gran juego, bien pensado, se invirtió mucho tiempo y se nota, todo hecho para que sea un jeugo perfecto, la expanción vale la pena y lo mejora »

« Civ VI is probably one of the most addicting and well-put-together 4X games I have ever had the pleasure of playing and replaying year after year. Unlike its predecessor (Civ V), where I swear I started every single game the exact same way, Civ VI adds a whole bunch of depth and replayability with its districts, world-altering natural disasters, and diverse cast of characters that make every single game feel like a new and fresh attempt at building a civilization that will last throughout the ages. »

zaratti 4/10

« Don't get me wrong, this game is fun because it's Civ. The gameplay of Civ is inherently fun to me. But while the game has that going for it, everything else makes it worse. The more cartoonish artstyle makes it feel less serious to me. The UI and apperance of menus are better and more immersive in Civ V in my opinion. I generally feel that there's a feeling of higher quality in Civ V compared to this game. »

BiscuitLune 8/10

nolimitnp81 6/10

« It's okay, but if forced to choose a 4x game I'm going with Stellaris 100% of the time. Even after 20 hours and plenty of Youtube tutorials Civ 6 doesn't have anywhere near the same immersion as Stellaris. »

AlfredIsacson 10/10

« THE MOST REPLAYABLE GAME EVER. From all the diffrent leaders and civilzations, there is allways a new way of playing. Best game to play with friends »

OlegKonikevich 8/10

« This game was a very good experience. Propably one of the best Strategy games I have played(it is my first experience of the franchise). The music and the mecanics of the game were really addictive. I almost gave it a 9/10, but there are two main negatives that I want to talk about. First: the game is reeealy slow. You can literally spend almost 20 hours to complete just 1 game, and it can be a problem for some people. And secondly: the price. I got this game for free, so this wasn't a negative for my, but 60 euros for this game is much more than too much. But, if you have the opportunity to buy this on discount, and you have time, I really recommend this game. For me it was a blast. »

fozerion 7/10

« It was a long way to get there. If your only question is: Should i buy this game? Yes, definitely. You should buy it over pretty much every other 4X game, even Civ5 and definitely Civ7 can be considered worse games than this. This game is thousands upon thousands hours of content for pretty cheap price (around 30 euro on sale for full game). So, if you didn't play the game review can be considered over for you. I definitely recommend this game. Final score is at the end, but there is gonna be not a lot of talk about basic stuff. Civ6 praise and critique. A long wall of text could be written about Civ6 issues, but let's talk about good things: 1) Repeatability. Many Paradox gamers can talk anything they want about how the game is boring and the same every game, but if you dive deeper into core gameplay there is a lot of things balanced around your decisions and game accepts many different strategies to reach any victory type. Also, every civilization, leader, spawn location influence a lot. 2) Deep. Core mechanics are very deep and influence all other mechanics a lot. Your early pantheon can make or break the game, districts are core for any victory type etc. 'Additional' mechanics from DLCs or mods are worse, but still many of them can change your game in even unknown to your eye things. 3) One more turn effect. Present and addictive more than in any game series. This things are the best things that Civ6 can offer, core game without any mods are balanced pretty good if you don't abuse it and your strategies work and work very well most of the time. You can influence every little aspect and change the course of entire run by little decisions. It is so addictive and fun! Bad things are present too and there are a lot of things I hope gonna be fixed in Civ8 ( because Civ7 is broken beyond repair ). Let's focus on two main problems: 1) AI. It's stupid, unbalanced, unfair and not fun at all. Early game you feel like punching bag, late game is walk in the park if you know any good tactic and understand basics of how to win. Even mods can't fix this things and you need to actively avoid abusing the game and AI to not break immersion. 2) Multiplayer. Bugs, unfair balance in the base game and stupid amount of time you need to finish even a duel on the smallest map breaks MP experience for ****, I love this game. I really hope Civ7 gonna become a better version of it or modders gonna create It, because some things are just impossible to ignore. If you want to improve your experience, please install mods. Be careful with them and play around to see what suites you the most. Around 150+ hours of Epic Civ6 version without mods taught me how painful sometimes is to play vanilla game. Time for final score! "Story": 6/10. Civ6 is NOT historically accurate game and it works badly with presenting it, but the immersion effect is pretty great and the game itself without forcing it creates a pretty funny liberal-communist situation. Gameplay: 8/10. There are issues discussed above, but game is still one of the best 4X games with deep mechanics that have meaning. Is it too long? Yes. Games on faster difficulties break immersion, games on longer difficulties are 40+ hours to finish. I recommend using mods to fix this issue. Graphics: 6/10. Controversial style, but very readable and 'stylish' in it's own sense. Final score: 76/100. Civ6 is not perfect 4X, jeez, it is not even perfect Civilization game but it is very deep and meaningful and addictive for you to spend 1000+ hours on it. Deffo recommend! »
