Scooby-Doo! Mystery Mayhem, développé par A2M et publié par THQ, a été lancé le 2 mars 2004 sur PlayStation 2, Xbox et Nintendo GameCube. Ce jeu d'aventure et de plateforme, propulsé par le moteur RenderWare, se présente comme une sortie multiplateforme mettant en scène les détectives de dessin animé et leur chien peureux favori.
S'agissant de l'accueil du titre, la presse a souligné que les fans des dessins animés seront heureux de retrouver les éléments des originaux, notamment les voix et les mauvaises blagues, et certains critiques ont relevé que l'un des grands atouts du jeu réside dans un son reproduisant parfaitement les effets extravagants des années 70. De leur côté, certains joueurs estiment qu'il s'agit du meilleur jeu Scooby-Doo sur PS2, avec un nouveau système de gameplay et des niveaux intéressants, tout en ne comprenant pas la note de 55, tandis que d'autres confient avoir adoré le jeu, le trouvant drôle et correct, même s'ils n'ont pas apprécié un élément dans le far west et le bayou marécageux.
