DualShockers 80/100

« Rivals of Aether II gives fans of the genre a lot to love, with the promise of even more on the way, and the game is constantly getting patches and improving. If it offered a proper story mode and slightly more intuitive mechanics on top of cleaning up the skins for clarity's sake, it would be up there with the best fighting games ever. It feels incredible to play, the music is awesome, and the visuals are some of the most unique in the industry without feeling like they're compromising for frame rate. If you're a fan of Smash Bros. gameplay, you owe it to yourself to give Rivals of Aether II a shot, but you should know that it's still a work in progress, even after release. »

GameBlast 80/100

« Rivals of Aether II presents a very solid foundation, with fast-paced combat, a variety of characters, and mechanics that work well in both casual matches and more technical levels of play. At the same time, its almost total focus on competitive play and the lack of solo content leave important gaps, especially for those who don’t intend to commit to online play. Even so, in local matches, the experience changes completely—it’s easy to get drawn in and have fun with the chaos of the fights. In its current state, it’s a game that already delivers good moments, but still feels like it’s in the process of growing. For those who enjoy learning, testing their limits, and gradually improving, there’s a lot of value here. For others, it might be worth keeping a closer eye on its development before fully diving in. »

« a fun game that is different from the original, i dislike how it sacrifices some of the originals mechanics to be more formulaic but if you don't mind that you'll have fun with this game »

TheWhiteAlbum 3/10

« I got it for free, and I still want an payback. Something HAVE to be done about Matchmaking, it ruin everything, if you are new, you are gonna get demolished for months, you just can't play with other newbie. ALSO, they took an weird decision after the addition of Absa, to make everyone slow, less technical overall, in order to make overall level down and nerf good players, they did it to make the skill level among players more homogeneous, spoiler ? IT DOESN'T WORK. Everyone hate that, it's boring, lame and sleepy. Btw when you ask the creator of the game about a thing, gently, he will mock you or not respond. Thanks. »

Sussyboi 0/10

« It's fun sometimes but when you start getting comboed and fricked by any character especially clairen, those lows are far more impactful than any high the game has. Every single character feels bs to fight against. Giving this 0 is the only way to vent all the suffering and pain this game has caused. »

holeecarolee 8/10

« this is the second best game in terms of fun factor for me (only behind tf2.) seriously, its a masterclass of game design and DOPAMINE!!! it feels unfinished in its current state though, will update the review when more stuff gets added. »

« Apparently the game gets review bombed so i am doing my Part Thor and Ludwig are such Liars. Where are The Review bombs!? I checked Steam and metacritic and found nothing. I mean there are someBud theyare legit »

enchiladasv 10/10

« This is an amazing game! Really fun gameplay if you like platform fighters! Also had a lot of items that you can get only playing the game! »

freakinboring 7/10

« honeymoon phase is over and i think i can fully make my opinion, this is probably my *2nd* favorite platform fighter of all time. this game has some of the smoothest and most addicting movement in any i've played while not having the strict skill floor that put me off of melee, however this game has some insane variation in how i *feel* playing it. winning in this game is probably the best i've felt in any fighting game but losing may be the absolute worst. i love this game though its awesome :) »

Zer0TheHer0 0/10

« It doesn't work, gives me a message about my drivers and blablabla doesn't even try to start. Every other game in the world works, this doesn't. Bad programming. »
