GameSpy 100/100

« UYA's multiplayer experience is excellent. The level of polish is surprisingly high, which is evident in everything from specific gameplay details (the grappling beam's ease of use is superb, for example) to the extensive number of options that can be tweaked. »

Game Informer 100/100

« After a long and successful history, Insomniac Games has finally created its masterpiece, a tour de force that is the zenith of a trio of titles that I feel should be held up in action/platforming history alongside the original "Super Mario Bros." trilogy on the NES. [Nov 2004, p.150] »

Cinescape 100/100

« Up Your Arsenal may be the best game on the PlayStation 2. This is "Mario 64" level quality folks. If you own a PS2 and don't play this game, I'll come to your house personally with a Sheepinator and remove you from the gaming gene pool. »

Detroit Free Press 100/100

« The online game play is just as smooth and fast-moving as the offline versions, and the wacky variety of weapons -- turn your enemy into a sheep! -- makes it a heap of fun. »

Play Magazine 100/100

« You've got virtual movie sets to demolish, ships to fly, buggies to battle in, turrets to command, inventively integrated puzzles. [Dec 2004, p.68] »

PSX Nation 100/100

« No game is perfect, but I'll be damned if Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal isn't close as can be. There's something in here for everyone to enjoy, and at a mere $40 pricepoint, it's worth every penny. »

« Without a doubt one of the best in the series, if not the best overall. A perfect mix of fun gameplay with original weapons/gadgets and humor with memorable characters »

BarackolypseNow 10/10

« Brings back memories. Had at least 100 hours in this game, would constantly replay it. The galactic battle storyline was fun and entertaining. The weapons and armors were cool as hell and the voice acting was legendary in this. »

bahamianvampire 9/10

« A perfectly solid entry to the franchise with a much better story than it's sister entry "RAC 2" (even if it doesn't really play up the capitalist-satire themes of the series all that much), lots of creative weapons, and a genuinely solid multiplayer mode which is still unique to the series. I have to say, I do still prefer "RAC 2" because it just seems to have more gameplay variety, in my opinion. »

Ratchet3Clanker 9/10

« i Dont know what to say expect MASTERPIECE, gameplay masterpiece, the clanker masterpiece, ratchet the ultimate sigma, EVERYTHING is good »

Anonymus97 9/10

« Despite the occasional feeling of incompleteness caused by its rushed development cycle, Ratchet & Clank 3 remains a remarkably solid entry in the franchise and one that continues to shine even today. Gameplay ExcellenceThe core mechanics are as tight and responsive as ever. The blend of platforming, shooting, and gadget-based combat delivers a satisfying rhythm that few games of its era could **** arsenal of imaginative weapons—ranging from quirky gadgets to devastating firepower—ensures that every encounter feels fresh and encourages experimentation. World-Building & HumorInsomniac’s trademark humor and charm are fully intact. The witty dialogue, eccentric characters, and satirical take on galactic politics make the adventure consistently entertaining. Each planet offers distinct visual flair and creative level design, showcasing the studio’s ability to craft memorable environments despite the accelerated production schedule. Presentation & Replay ValueThe vibrant art direction and energetic soundtrack elevate the experience, giving the game a personality that still resonates with players decades later.Multiplayer modes, though not flawless, were ahead of their time and added unexpected longevity to the package. Why It EnduresWhile some may argue that the game feels slightly incomplete compared to its predecessors, its strengths far outweigh its shortcomings. The sheer creativity of its weapons, the humor woven into its narrative, and the consistently engaging gameplay loop make Ratchet & Clank 3 a standout title that deserves recognition as one of the franchise’s most enjoyable installments.Final Verdict: Ratchet & Clank 3 may have been born from a rushed development, but it emerged as a gem that continues to deliver fun, charm, and replayability. It’s proof that even under pressure, great design and creativity can produce a timeless experience. »
