« Pokemon X & Y feel like a huge visual upgrade for the series, but not a huge gameplay one. Kalos is a beautiful region, and seeing Pokemon in full 3D for the first time was genuinely impressive, but underneath that presentation, the game feels a bit too safe. The adventure is very linear, and the difficulty is extremely low. You’re constantly being guided from one point to the next, and it rarely feels like the game is challenging you in any meaningful way. Even major battles go down quickly if you have a basic understanding of type matchups. Mega Evolution is the standout addition here. It added a lot of excitement to battles and made certain Pokemon feel much more impactful, even if it was later underused in future games. Outside of that, though, Kalos doesn’t do much to stand out in terms of story or ****’s a visually strong entry with some cool ideas, but it doesn’t fully take advantage of the leap to a new generation of hardware. »
« The game featured incredible Pokémon designs, a complete Pokédex, and 3D integration. The roller skates were all original and amazing, plus they introduced the fairies. It also saw the popularization of competitive play and online trading. It was truly a peak era. »

« Pokémon X modernized the series with the jump to 3D and a stylish Kalos, pampering you with quality of life improvements (PSS, fewer HMs, skates/bike, EXP Share), and introduced two impactful features: the Fairy type for balance and Mega Evolution for the spectacle (and for trivializing the difficulty if you abuse **** story has moments with a more serious tone, but the villains pose more than they threaten, and the journey tends to be easy. Technically, the 3DS strains during busy battles, and the stereoscopic 3D is best left as an ornament. The music gives the journey a classy feel.Recommendation in 2025? Yes: it's a friendly entry point and a key chapter. If you want a challenge, impose some self-made rules and enjoy the ride. »

« Still my favourite pokemon game over a decade later, the world is gorgeous the characters are (mostly) engaing, and the new pokemon introduced are super iconic, idalso say its a great starting point for new fans of the franchise! Love Kalos with al my heart, glad to be enjoying Legends Z-A too. »
