Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon trademarks were registered thus leaking the next Pokémon game titles to the public. Pokémon.com confirmed the games would be for the Nintendo 3DS and released in holiday 2016, with a new world, new Pokémon, and new adventures. Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon will be the first games in the Pokémon series to allow players to choose from nine languages to play in. In addition to English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish, players will now be able to play in both Traditional and Simplified Chinese.

« Simply put, Sun and Moon are best Pokémon games that Game Freak has ever produced. Poké Pelago, the side quests, the absolutely stunning nature of the presentation, it's all a sheer joy from start to finish. Game Freak hasn't missed a beat and has managed to carefully balance the inclusion of new mechanics without totally ruining things for the most hardcore fans. It's got content coming out of its ears, a much more interesting story, and rewards exploration in a way no other title in the series has. « Pokemon Sun & Moon is where the series started to lose me. The Alola region is beautiful and has some interesting ideas, but the actual game is so easy that it rarely feels rewarding. The constant tutorials, cutscenes, and hand-holding make the adventure drag on far longer than it **** biggest mistake was replacing the traditional Gym system. The Island Trials sounded like a fresh idea, but they never felt as satisfying as working your way through eight Gyms and earning badges. The Totem Pokemon are supposed to be major challenges, but if you have even a basic understanding of Pokemon's battle system, most of them go down without much **** Pokemon League isn't much better. By the time I reached the end, I never felt like I had overcome any real obstacles. The game constantly tells you you're on an important journey, but it never gives you much of a challenge to back that up. Even the rival feels weak compared to some of the series' best. He's friendly and harmless, but he lacks the competitive edge that made rivals from older games memorable. »

The Alolan forms are nothing but lazy reskins designed to milk nostalgia from Gen 1 loyalists.Route Design: Alola’s routes are embarrassingly linear. Exploration is dead — you’re funneled down narrow corridors with zero incentive to wander. The world feels sterile, lacking the magic of discovery that once defined Pokémon.Audience Targeting: This isn’t a game made for fans of RPGs or strategy. It’s a marketing product aimed at the lowest common denominator, pandering to anyone who will buy anything with Pikachu’s face slapped on it.Verdict: Pokémon Sun is a shallow, uninspired entry that insults the intelligence of long-time fans.
