Pokémon Go

06 juillet 2016

« Once I’m actually playing, I have a ball with this, because it is, in a very real sense, a cultural phenomenon. Never has a game managed to get people to flock over to specific areas of town like birds to seed. People point to it being too simple as a game, but really the game bit is barely relevant. What is relevant is that this game has people out and about, socialising and exploring. There’s a group experience event going on with Pokemon Go, and it’s addictive to simply be part of the collective. »

« Pokémon GO isn't perfect, but its sense of nostalgia and pure excitement are unparallelled. »

CD-Action 90/100

« The best mobile game I have ever played. [09/2016, p.66] »

« You don’t even have to like Pokémon to enjoy Pokémon Go. During the previous year, Pokémon Go has tuned its ideas and it’s now even more original and addictive. This is a one-of-a-kind game. »

Eurogamer Italy 80/100

« Every Pokémon fan's dream is finally true: get ready to go out to hunt all the little monsters all around your town in AR. The game isn't perfect, but it’s a very promising (and fun) beginning. »

« At this moment Pokemon Go is still plagued by bugs and server issues, but behind it all is a very special game. This year there will be nothing that compares to Pokemon Go. »

« An amazing game. I would even dare to say that it is an amazing social experience. The idea of traveling, meeting new trainers and catch pokemons everywhere is simply too good to be true. Cannot wait to play it even more, I've never been so eager to go grocery shopping. »

Yahoo! 80/100

« Despite its initial problems, Pokémon Go is an absurdly addictive and approachable game. Chances are you can go out on your lunch break and see people playing at this very moment. After staying out of the smartphone game market for years, Nintendo has finally jumped in headfirst and scored an absolute hit. »

« Ive played this game a lot. It's a bad game, I don't want it to be, but it is. It wastes your time in so many ways and frustrates like nothing else. Avoid it, play something better »

« If this game had been developed by a different company it could have been something better and more ambitious in my opinion. But the ability of catching Pokémon in the real world is still a very strong concept. If we kept all the quality of life improvements we got during 2020-2021, that would have made this game a 10/10 for me. »

« EL jugo lastimosamente dependes de la gente mas que de tus propios meritos y pokemones capturados. »

« I've been playing for 10 years now and it's a very fun game. I think I still play bc I want to make the full pokedex (like everybody) and bc there is the fact that you can get shinys, special background pokemon... etc This sensation of having an exclusive pokemon that almost nobody has drives me crazy. Prices pretty high, and remote raid passes are VERY expensive. But this game is fun anyways, there is always something to do or to improve, and I think this game will stay alive very longer. »

« I have this for Andriod and when it was first released, it was pretty cool, but after is being out for a good matter of years now, I hardly, - in fact, don't really play this game anymore. Why? Too money hungry and too many cheaters that got this game a week earlier as players side-loaded the game onto their phones, so their Pokémon are much stronger than others by a huge margin. ‎ Also, if you play on your own, there's little to no chance of winning boss raids or raids in general, and you'll have to have lots of friends who play locally to win with extremely strong Pokémon. It was a fun concept to start with, but now, it mostly wants you to spend real-life money to progress. »
