Payday 2 is an action-packed, four-player co-op shooter that once again lets gamers don the masks of the original crew: Dallas, Hoxton, Wolf and Chains as they descend on Washington D.C. for an epic crime spree.
Histoire (IGDB)
Two years after the events of the first game, the Payday gang relocates to Washington, D.C. to carry out a new wave of heists. After proving their capabilities, the crew catches the attention of the Dentist, a powerful middleman who helps them break their arrested member Hoxton out of prison and uncover the informant who betrayed him. As they take on increasingly ambitious contracts, including stealing a mysterious box from a casino vault, their operator Bain is captured by the Dentist and an unknown faction. With help from the mercenary Locke, the gang discovers the conspiracy behind Bain's abduction, frees him, and carries out one final heist: infiltrating the White House to steal presidential pardons for their crimes. In an alternate ending, the gang discovers a secret ancient machine beneath the White House and activates it, with Bain seemingly using it to transfer his consciousness into the President's body.

PAYDAY 2 est un jeu de tir coopératif bourré d'action qui permet jusqu'à quatre joueurs d'incarner une fois de plus les braqueurs originaux du célèbre gang PAYDAY, Dallas, Hoxton, Wolf et Chains, qui débarquent à Washington DC pour une série de crimes épiques.Le nouveau réseau CRIMENET offre une vaste gamme de contrats dynamiques : les joueurs sont libres de choisir la nature des contrats qui les intéressent, allant de forfaits relativement rapides à exécuter, tels que des vols de bijouteries ou des kidnappings, à des cybercrimes ou des braquages complexes nécessitant des plans bien échafaudés pour vider les coffres des plus grandes banques. Puisque vous êtes en ville, pourquoi ne pas en profiter pour soutenir votre candidat préféré en tant que bon citoyen ?
Jusqu'à quatre amis peuvent coopérer sur les différents casses. À mesure que vous progressez, les contrats deviennent plus audacieux et risqués, mais surtout plus gratifiants. En plus de gagner de l'argent et de devenir un criminel légendaire, vous pouvez aussi personnaliser les braqueurs à l'aide d'un système d'artisanat qui vous permet de modifier les armes et l'équipement du gang.
Fonctionnalités
- Braquez des banques entre amis - Choisissez votre équipe avec précaution, coordonnez-vous pour sélectionner les compétences adéquates ou le contrat s'annoncera très difficile !
- CRIMENET - La base de données des contrats permet aux joueurs de choisir parmi les jobs disponibles en se mettant en relation avec des contacts locaux tels que Vlad l'Ukrainien, "L'Éléphant", un politicien véreux, ou encore Hector, un trafiquant de drogue colombien, tous ayant leur propre façon de faire et leur type de contrat préféré.
- Des sensations inouïes - Avec le rendu visuel et sonore fantastique de PAYDAY, tirer avec une arme et attacher les mains d'un civil n'a jamais été aussi jouissif.
- Scénarios dynamiques - Chaque scénario dispose d'une géométrie aléatoire et d'événements uniques. Un contrat peut être joué plusieurs fois, mais ne le sera jamais deux fois de la même façon.
- Choisissez votre spécialité - En progressant, les joueurs peuvent se spécialiser dans l'un des cinq types de braqueur : Cerveau, Exécuteur, Fantôme, Technicien ou Fugitif. Chacun possède son arbre de compétences qui offre des talents et des équipements uniques. Combinez les arbres pour créer le braqueur ultime.
- Des masques à foison - PAYDAY 2 possède un système de personnalisation inédit qui permet à ses joueurs de créer un masque sans pareil en y appliquant le motif et les couleurs de leur choix. Les possibilités sont presque infinies !
- Armes et modifications - Un tout nouvel arsenal pour les braqueurs exigeant, offrant un choix pléthorique de fusils de précisions, de fusils d'assaut, de carabines et autres mitraillettes compactes. Après avoir jeté votre dévolu, il est possible de modifier votre arme : viseur, silencieux, poignée, réticule, canon, châssis, crosse et bien plus, ce qui aura une incidence sur les performances de l'arme. Il existe également des améliorations purement esthétiques : pourquoi ne pas vous la jouer façon baron de la drogue en ajoutant une poignée en noyer poli à votre 9 mm ?
- À vous de jouer - Choisissez votre façon de procéder : lente et furtive ou rapide et bourrine ? Chaque approche vous offre une expérience différente.
- Une longue histoire - Depuis sa sortie, le jeu a bénéficié de plus de 70 mises à jour, incluant de nouveaux casses, personnages, armes et fonctionnalités telles que la conduite de voitures et de chariots élévateurs.

It's been nine months since Starbreeze handed the Payday 2 reins over to Sidetrack Games to continue supporting it, while the original developer focused on improving Payday 3. So far, the numbers are very much in Sidetrack's favor, with Payday 2 still routinely pulling 30,000-player peaks on Steam as its successor struggles to stay at just 1,000. « Payday 2 is a Co Op game. While it might have benefitted with a cool story arc for a single player mode the game offers a great outing with 3 other friends for an experience that will keep having you come back for more. Payday is simply put the improved, polished and closest experience you’ll find to robbing an actual bank. It’s just legal. »
« In the end, its faults are only minor, really. This is by far the most engrossing co-operative arcade experience I have had in a while, probably the best since Left 4 Dead 2 came around. Pulling the trigger of a Uzi in close proximity of an enemy is like shoving a rabid Tasmanian devil into someone's face. I genuinely enjoyed this game with my friends but I am gonna report some issues. Initially, the game just have a total of 4 vram. Consequently, if someone installed some mods and exceeded the 4 vram limit, the game will crush. Additionally, assume that a player took a mission's related item and that player disconnected from the game, the item will be gone and you will be forced to restart the entire mission to complete it. »
« Very dumb game. Break into some store/bank, drill open the safe, shoot thousands of cops and escape. Stealth is terrible, you can absolutely forget it because every time you fail, you have to restart the mission again, with randomized enemies and positions. Good luck. It takes ages. Best bet is just to shoot everything, way faster. »
