Oxygen Not Included, développé et publié par Klei Entertainment, est sorti le 30 juillet 2019 sur PC, Mac et Linux. Ce jeu de simulation, de stratégie et indépendant, construit avec le moteur Unity, place le joueur à la tête d'une colonie spatiale installée au cœur d'un astéroïde alien, où la gestion de l'oxygène, de la chaleur et de la nourriture constitue une menace constante pour la survie des colons. Le joueur contrôle l'excavation, l'allocation des ressources, la plomberie et les systèmes électriques, tout en devant anticiper la déplétion des ressources dès le premier souffle, gérer le stress psychologique des duplicants via loisirs et logements, maîtriser la thermodynamique, les simulations de gaz et liquides, les réseaux électriques et le recyclage. Les mondes sont générés de façon procédurale. Le titre affiche un score Metacritic de 86 et une note agrégée de 82,83, pour un prix de 22,99 euros, avec des temps de complétion annoncés à 96 heures pour l'histoire principale et 439 heures en mode completionist. La presse a salué certains aspects tout en notant des ralentissements et une IA parfois confuse, et si des joueurs regrettent l'absence de tutoriel pour un système de contrôle si dense, d'autres estiment sur Steam qu'il s'agit du meilleur jeu du genre et recommandent le titre au vu de leur temps de jeu.

« While there are niggles to the experience, from relatively frequent frame rate drops at the start of each cycle and the AI occasionally getting confused to the game outright crashing (which is naturally quite frustrating), these issues seem like the aftermath of Early Access. With the game having a decent swell of community support and the developers just as keen to keep improving, Oxygen Not Included appears to be going onwards and upwards – or whatever direction you fancy, really. »

« The game has been written specifically to be as annoying as possible. Why, because if it didn't create drama, it'll just be another base building game. By that i mean, if you ask one of the dupes to build something, they will always go to the furthest place to pick up the material, if there is something broken, they will always do everything else first, even if you assign it the higest priority, if theres a dangerous task, the person with the least health will always go, if you ask them to descontruct somethign, they will always do it in a way that gets themself trapped. »

Eğer gerçekten boş vaktiniz, yorabileceğiniz bir kafanız varsa bu oyuna girişin derim. Güncel olarak 609 saatim var. Bu hayatımda oynadığım en iyi oyun olabilir. Bu türde koloni-otomasyon oyunlarını seviyorsanız mutlaka göz atın derim. Ama dikkat edin ekran kartı anlayacağınız üzere neredeyse önemsiz. Önemli olan işlemciniz. High-End bir bilgisayarınız bile olsa late game'de fps drop yiyebiliyorsunuz çünkü oyun çok detaylı ve bu durumda da doğal olarak işlemcinin hesaplaması gereken bir ton şey oluyor. Oyunu en çok kastıran parametre ısı olabilir. O yüzden size bir tavsiye olarak oyundaki tüm eşyalarınızı vakumlanmış tek bir karede depolamanız olacaktır. Size iyi şanslar dilerim. « According to Steam, I have an obscene amount of time put into this game. An absolutely bonkers 20k hours over the course of it's early access and post-release. I consider this an engineering game as the fun part is that you have to figure out how to solve all your problems mostly on your own. I will freely admit that mods build on the game greatly, making it an even better experience. But the best part is Klei itself. They listen. They incorporate good suggestions from users. They put the best of the best mods into the game. It's something I find both rare and refreshing. There's simply no other game quite like it, and I do not regret a second of those 20,000 hours. »
