On the Road
On the Road, un jeu de simulation développé par Expert Software, est sorti le 31 décembre 1990 sur Amiga et DOS. Après le succès de Wall Street Wizard, le studio Lifetimes s'est de nouveau essayé au genre de la simulation d'entreprise en proposant cette fois de diriger le monde du fret routier en Europe, où jusqu'à six joueurs peuvent tenter de dominer le marché du transport, l'Amiga remplaçant les participants absents. La presse a relevé certaines difficultés, TheXboxHub évoquant notamment des problèmes allant au-delà de la conduite ou des graphismes, tandis que des joueurs sur Metacritic y voient un titre agréable pour une journée tranquille, avec de bonnes physiques et graphismes.

« The main problem that On The Road on Xbox has is not in the tedium of the driving, it's not in the poor visuals, it’s not in the game crashes and it's not in the clunky, amateurish menus. Nope, it's found in a combination of all those things along with an asking price that is verging on disgusting. And that means this is one trucking simulator that is going to struggle to make any form of headway on any console street. »
