Midnight Club: Los Angeles
Midnight Club: Los Angeles
Games Master UK a salué « The pinnacle of the series - honest to the original concept, but faster and better looking », tandis que XboxAddict a indiqué que les amateurs de jeux de course devraient absolument aimer le titre. Certains joueurs sur Metacritic ont toutefois jugé l'épisode le moins impressionnant de la série en raison d'une familiarité trop marquée, alors que d'autres l'ont présenté comme le meilleur jeu de course jamais créé, notamment pour sa bande-son.

« The pinnacle of the series - honest to the original concept, but faster and better looking. [Dec 2008, p.76] »
« If you like racing games then you should absolutely love Midnight Club LA. »
« By sticking to its roots, Midnight Club Los Angeles may not be a master of innovation, but as one of the most polished, finely honed and adrenaline-filled racing games, you won’t find any that do it better. »
« But MCLA does everything right, and has plenty of longevity packed in. »
« If you invest the time in tricking out your ride and mastering the more challenging difficulty levels, you'll be rewarded with an adrenaline rush that you won't find anywhere else. »
« Just what the doctor ordered: a fun, fast racing experience with enough content to keep you playing for months. »
« As fun as Midnight Club L.A. is, it wouldn't be nearly as impressive if it weren't for the incredible visuals on display. »
« The soundtrack is better, the characters more convincing and, for our money, the racing experience just that little bit more enjoyable. »
Avis des Joueurs (Metacritic)
« "Midnight Club: Los Angeles" is the biggest entry in the series, but perhaps the least impressive. It feels just a tad too familiar. The game looks terrific and has a great sense of speed. But the racing feels less evolved than it did in "Midnight Club III". Also, the story mode is sort of bland. On the plus side, the races are challenging, the vehicle list is impressive and the customization options are great. The best thing about the game is the L.A. map which is as big as the three cities from the previous title combined. Overall, this is an 8.2 out of 10. »
« I don't care what you all say. THIS IS THE BEST RACING GAME EVER! (YES, EVEN BETTER THEN NFS MOST WANTED 2005) The soundtrack is just like you won a lottery, the job that Rockstar Games did on this man! The mechanics everything is perfect! The vibe of Los Angeles! The R.A.G.E engine was PERFECT in this game! »

« Best MC title by far. Most fleshed out and has the best visuals. Extremely satisfying handling and sense of speed. The customization is actually fun because the game looks good and there are accurate car models. It has a couple flaws but no need to mention them. You experience them, and move on because it's an amazing game. Spent thousands of hours online. »
« graphics: 8 Sound: 9 Handling: 5 cars: 3 First things first i cannot see anything in dark areas in this game and thats super annoying. Second the game is super unforgiving. I didnt know i bought dark souls bro . Whenever i turn in a corner the car slides like im driving on ice irrespective of the car im driving. Progression is super slow. It feels really grindy. The carsin the showroom are very limited and only like 2-3 cars can do 200 mph. Customization is super good in this game and the opeb world is amazing to just cruise around in as expected from rockstar. The dialogue is super funny at times. The games gives you way too many missions at one time. At one point my mission log was full of like 47incomplete missions. The graphics are really good even by todays standards and probably mind blowing back then. Thr car sounds are just incredible though. The sound fx in general are really good. »
