03 novembre 2015

« A gorgeous-looking, very well designed game that offers five different racing styles to tackle - and a bevy of interesting cars to modify and make your own. Its story is a lot of fun, and it's set in an impressively large environment that is very enjoyable to drive around. A great arcade racer that's both challenging and addictive. »

GamingTrend 85/100

« The live-action scenes are a great idea and work well at times, but I also felt they were just put there to move me from race to race. I never fully found myself connecting to any characters or the story. »

IGN Italia 85/100

« One of the best Need for Speeds ever. Even if Ventura Bay can be a bit boring, the game is pure fun and adrenaline-driven. »

LaPS4 84/100

« Ghost Games brings us a Need for Speed game with many fan-favourite features such as customization, impossible skids and arcade driving. Although being always online could have been optional and some of the game aspects could have been taken from another perspective, the game is great and most fans won't be disappointed. »

GameTrailers 83/100

« The customization features are a welcome return, and the five-layered career lets you play with different approaches to driving. Some aspects of Need for Speed could use more variety, but it’s a solid foundation to move the series forward. »

Power Unlimited 82/100

« Need for Speed listened to its fans, and that’s why this game deserves to call itself a reboot of the franchise. There’s a few minor flaws, but especially in its multiplayer, this Need for Speed is the first fun one to come out in years. »

Impulsegamer 82/100

« Need for Speed on the PS4 goes backs to basics and delivers a sturdy racing game on this console. »

GameSpot 80/100

« The game is far from perfect, but it is, at points, truly exceptional. Its jaw-dropping visuals, adrenaline-pumping audio, and highly-customizable handling make screaming around the darkened streets of Ventura Bay an intense thrill. The sense of ownership that comes with tuning a single ride to perfection rather than simply grabbing the flashiest vehicle available proved tremendously rewarding. »

« Bu oyunun gecə atmosferi əladıda, üstəgəl mənim kimi Carbon fanları üçün tamamən nostaljidir. Uşaqlıqda Carbon-u oynadığım günləri yadıma salır. Amma EA həmişəki kimi qaş düzəldən yerdə vurur göz çıxarır, gül kimi oyun yaradıb, ancaq online server ilə. Story belə online-dı. Oyun üçün bu çox mənfidir. Hələ 30 dəqiqədən bir serverdən atmağı tam ayrı dərddir. »

« Probably the worst Need for Speed to this day, (maybe Undercover from what I've heard but it's the last NFS I haven't done yet). The storyline isn't inherently bad but everything else about the story is. I wouldn't care for it to be cringe because it has kind of always been that way, but the game just capitalized on it with constant phone calls even during races. The game is also holding your hand so much with the racing lines that you shouldn't follow because it's just following an unoptimized path (like it should do like in any decent racing game) and guess what, you can't disable it and it takes a lot of your screen. There's also the AI and police being extremely stupid and slow, except sometimes the rubber banding kicks in during time attack events (why would they even need it on this game mode??). The only difficult thing is the physics, not because it requires any skill, only because you're just understeering and locking wheels 24/7 or it is kind of unpredictable when drifting (that is pretty much the only reliable approach, at least that made the game much more enjoyable for me, thank to the handling settings). The world is just extremely generic, empty and small, with no memorable place. The game being in the night doesn't help too. Nothing really stands out and you kind of don't get to fully appreciate your car customization even because of it, which is sad given that customization is one of the best thing in that game. The car list is also a little bit underwhelming for my taste with like 50cars but mostly duplicates because there's not even half that of brands. The game is also always online which is a shame, the online had potential tho, but when you're a racing game and your physics is bad nothing makes up for it. The graphics on the other hand is good for its time just like most NFS games, but heavily rely on reflections and rain for it to look great. The music is not bad too but I just didn't heard it in races maybe due to the stereo downmix. »

« This is coming from someone who hasn't played a Need for Speed game since Hot pursuit 2 on PS1. Recently though I've been getting back into the series (Starting with this one) first let's go over the negatives. The only online portion would have been a deal breaker for me if I didn't get this game on a huge discount. Because of this requirement you are unable to pause during gameplay which can be annoying if your controller is dying or you have something you need to do and just want to leave it idle. Another issue is the server "maintenance" that happens frequently. I'll often join a lobby only to find out that it'll be shutting down in 30-15 minutes. It doesn't happen all the time, but it's frequent enough to be annoying. Restarting races is easy to do during the events, but if you finish the event you need to go all the way back to the starting point. A retry option would have been nice. Speaking of annoying, I have yet to find a fast travel option. This could be user error on my part, but as far as I know you have to drive everywhere. This doesn't sound too bad until you realize there's only one garage (that I know of) in the game, and it's located to the far right of the map, meaning that if you have a drift challenge you need to prepare for that's all the way on the left side of the map you'll be covering a lot of ground just to get there. This isn't all bad as you earn experience from just driving, and the driving is fun. But the option would have been welcome. Now for the good. A lot of people will make fun of the live action cutscenes (and granted they are a bit goofy at the beginning) but the more I played the more I found the cutscenes and characters endearing. To the point where I looked forward to the next one. The music is good to drive to, but i hardly notice it during races as I'm hyper focused. Still I feel many will enjoy it. I also want to add that people have claimed this game to be short, but I have been playing for quite a while and still don't see the end in sight. There's a plethora of cars and customization options to purchase and tinker with. I dabbled with it to get a nice car with high end parts and a kickin' pink coat, but I'm sure others will get even more mileage out of the garage and it's tools. The garage also allows for easy adjustments which I used frequently when needing a more "drift" style to complete a mission. It was incredibly handy Lastly the graphics are great for 2015. The environment can get a little boring/repetitive as you'll be driving by the same areas over, and over again. But that doesn't make the game any less pretty. If you can get past the issues you'll find a fun game to shave off some free time. »

« Bad game! Besides being full online, it also has horrible gameplay, the only saving grace is the graphics and the vehicles themselves. »
