Micro Machines World Series
Micro Machines World Series

« If you grew up in the early ’90s or just have an affinity for the license, it does it justice and delivers a rock-solid racing experience as well. Its mode selection is impressive and there’s always something to do if you’re tired of racing. »
« Overall, it’s a pick up and play game, with great user friendly controls, fun, addictive gameplay, witty one liners and carnage, it’s easy for any kind of player to pick up the controller and have some good fun, it won’t last forever as repetition is the game’s biggest shortcoming but it’s definitely fun and replayable, a great time killer or stress relief. The game’s value is great too, at $49.95 it’s priced well for the level of content and fun I found and had playing this game. »
« Micro Machines are back and Codemasters has now opened a new way for the series with the introduction of the competitive mode. With its unique style, the series is never growing old and this new game could be your perfect choice for the summer. »
« Micro Machines are back again with a new entry developed for PS4, Xbox One and PC (where´s the Switch version, Codemasters?) as fun as ever. Arcade entertainment for all kind of players, especially playing in multiplayer mode. »
« The first Micro Machines game perfectly fitted for eSports, but if you're searching for a good-old-fashioned single player arcade title, you better look somewhere else. »
« The game, however, suffers from some splintering that could undoubtedly undermine its grip on the audience. »
« Do I think that Micro Machines is a must play experience for everyone? Absolutely not. It’s a OK attempt at modernizing a somewhat niche, but well-loved 8-bit game, and that certainly won’t be for everyone. And unfortunately, modernizing that experience doesn’t work out too well, especially the heavy online focus that is too reliant on other players with a community that already seems dead on arrival. But still, the more I played, the more I enjoyed. Once I felt that I had some level of skill when it came to turning tight corners and lining up kill shots on opposing players, the overall experience with Micro Machines certainly improved. I don’t think I’d suggest picking it up at full price, but it certainly might worth it at a discount in the future. »
« The appeal of the Micro Machines franchise is hindered by the lack of a championship mode and the few cars and tracks available. Everyone who was, after so many years, waiting for a great new game of the saga, will be left disappointed. »
Avis des Joueurs (Metacritic)
« There is no offline, single-player content in this game. *Literally none.* Your options are to play online or to play local co-op battle mode. You cannot even race in local co-op; your only choice is battle mode. »
« My personal rating for "Micro Machines World Series" (PS4): 4,2/10 - Boring Gameplay: 4 Video: 7 Audio: 6,5 Scope: 2 Balance: 1 Story: - »
« No local multiplayer racing, the whole point of this game was to play with your mates and throw popcorn when you loose, this money grab move to online-only multiplayer is ruining too many games. loved the original on the megadrive, just make that with better graphics and online support as well as local. If you had allowed 4 players playing localy to join in online then you'd have made a game worth playing/paying for. This is a slap in the face to old fans at best. »
« While the presentation and gameplay are top notch, that hardly matters when literally everything else is so bare bones, that even games from 2-3 generations ago offer more to do and plenty more enjoyment than this. »
« Something of a letdown, but most of the criticism seems a bit harsh. The "solo career mode" in this game is the hunt for the platinum trophy. This is an online game and given the reviews and responses that online aspect may well soon dry up. What is then left? Might be worth getting on the cheap if they release some decent additional DLC soon. »
« Micro Machines World Series is the pits. Never before have I seen a game with such a simple concept fail so spectacularly. Every level feels like the ice level thanks to the awful turning circle on the cars that make crashing into things an inevitability, rendering all modes completely unplayable. If I were you, I’d take this one back to the shop. »
« I was really looking forward to MMWS, in fact I preordered the game on both the PS4 and XBox One. Unfortunately, Codemasters completely bungled the design of the game, making it effectively online-only with almost no single player content. I am returning both copies and will never get the game again, total disappointment. Hopefully Codemasters will learn a hard lesson from the failure of MMWS (which currently has a Metacritic score of 57-61 out of 100), because as it stands now their reputation has been severely damaged by this botched release. Don't waste your time on this one, it's not worth it at all. »
« This game isn't what you expect as a micro machines **** mobile game is much more fun and free then this one where you have to pay for.... It's all about on-line gaming, no single player content and really it's missing the clue and spirit what was making this series of games so great. Normally Codemasters stands for quality racing games but this time they didn't succeed. Very disappointed ... »
