Mega Man X6
Mega Man X6

« The plot is in badly translated Japanese and makes little sense, but still the game is curiously 'unputdownable'. »
« Decent-looking and extremely fun,...fast, tough, fun and a solid 2D blast from the past that is priced just right at $30. »
« The kind of game you can’t get out of your mind. Though frustration may make you set it down (I limited myself to about an hour a run) it’s a game you can always come back to. »
« Full of great gameplay and action, great graphics, great sound, great control, and great frustration. »
« A bit of a step backwards in comparison to MMX5, which is still my current favorite in the Mega Man X series. That said it's still an excellent 2D action game that Mega Man fans won't be able to pass up. »
« Ultimately, MMX6 will appeal to fans of the series, but gamers looking for more than strict jump-n-shoot fare should look elsewhere. »
« Despite these shortcomings, it's still Mega Man, and the gameplay is still entertaining, making X6 an attractive package for hard-core Mega Man fans. »
« The environment designs are not as creative, the stages are way too short, and the boss battles are surprisingly easy. [Feb 2002, p.94] »
Avis des Joueurs (Metacritic)
« The only good thing about this game is that at least it plays like the old ones, nothing else is good »
« **** level design too easy boss fight and story is really **** this game is fun as hell for me and the music really fire! »
« Mega Man X6 isn't a very consistent game the level design is rushed it uses to much assets in other levels and it lacks originality the game suffers from bugs and glitches also the game is way too difficult to enjoy for a 2D Action Platformer many people and I consider this the downfall of the series as X6 takes so much and reuses constantly for levels also the armors are very lackluster with very little abilities that do stuff while I did enjoy the fast paced combat and movement the game won't be saved or redeemed of those 2 things Anway this is my full review of Mega Man X5 and if you read this review thank you. »
« The second most hated by everyone after X 7, but personally it is my favorite, I personally consider it the best in design and soundtracks, besides the fact that the main villain is not the bald sigma this time, but the crappy nightmare effect ruins this game. »
« The only positives are that the core gameplay is still great, the weapons are mostly awesome, the armors are cool and the soundtrack is godly. Other than that, this game has ABHORRENT level design and enemy placement, bosses that range from pathetic to ****, annoying and broken mechanics that make stages more infuriating than they already are or place an added burden upon the player. It's better than X7, but that does not mean much. »
« The focus of X6 seems to be the same as X3: innovation through excessive and poorly thought-out difficulty over fun. Of the 2D era series games, this is undoubtedly the worst. The stages contain poorly designed sections focusing on difficulty, the excessive dialogues from X5 are still here (but this time slower and with voice acting), the acquired abilities system is broken (there is no description of what they do or how to activate them, and to enable them you need to save characters in stages, which often results in losing a life), the "extra playable character" is unlocked only in the middle of the campaign (which makes a difference in relation to the imposed level system, not to mention the issue of "hearts" that aren't shared like in the previous game), and finally, the final stages feel like a "thorn bush" and "force" you to obtain a specific armor if you don't want to get too frustrated and throw the controller at the screen. Mega Man X6 is a complicated game, and it makes me question if it had a quality assurance team before being released. The improvement I saw compared to the previous game was making the excessive explanatory dialogues during stages optional. I liked the new armors: they have a unique design and characteristics. I can't recommend this game. »
« Mythic.I know that game was made for an amateur team, but the story is very good, sweet gameplay and no frame falls on any moment(atleast for me),fun and never **** 10/10(i 100%'ed it) »
