« Max Payne é um jogo muito divertido e bem dinâmico. A história é o que menos importa aqui. O jogo é evidentemente inspirado nos filmes de ação dos anos 80 e 90. A jogabilidade é muito inovadora e serviu de inspiração para jogos futuros. As missões são bem complexas e diversificadas, cada uma contando com a sua respectiva dificuldade e ambientação específica. Ambientação esta que é impecável com uma estética única e apaixonante em seus cenários, além dos efeitos sonoros e dublagem. O arsenal de armas de Max Payne é gigantesco que conta com armas brancas até armas de fogo de diversos tipos. O jogo falha em contar sua história em formato de quadrinhos, uma forma mais barata, que acaba, em muitos momentos, sendo bem engraçada de tão grotesca as expressões apresentadas. Além disso, a mira do jogo é dispensável, percebi que o que importa é a direção da arma e não a mira porque de qualquer forma você irá acertar os inimigos. Max Payne é divertido e desafiante com o andamento da história, você se encanta com os detalhes dos lugares e o som ambiente e, claro, a adrenalina que o jogo passa com muitos tiros e explosões que ele fornece. É um jogão, muito bom e que, sem sombra de dúvidas, trouxe mecânicas inovadoras que serviram de inspiração para jogos futuros. »
