Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, publié le 24 octobre 2006, est un jeu d'action et de rôle se déroulant dans l'univers Marvel et mettant en scène de nombreux super-héros, super-vilains et personnages secondaires issus des comics. Les joueurs y forment leur équipe ultime parmi un large choix de héros pour une campagne épique où ils affrontent plus de 140 personnages et des vilains célèbres. Un système d'amélioration d'équipe permet d'équilibrer ou de personnaliser les pouvoirs, et le titre propose un mode histoire solo ainsi que des sessions en ligne ou hors ligne, en coopératif ou compétitif, pour jusqu'à quatre joueurs. Développé notamment par Raven Software et Vicarious Visions et édité par Activision, le jeu est disponible sur PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One et Wii, avec un temps de campagne principal d'environ 13 heures et 36 heures pour une complétion intégrale. La presse a salué un combat facile, varié et intéressant ainsi qu'une impressionnante intelligence artificielle des coéquipiers, tandis que certains joueurs expriment une forte nostalgie ou, à l'inverse, regrettent des problèmes de reconnaissance des manettes.

« A fantastic game. It's got everything - easy, varied and interesting combat, a huge roster of superheroes and supervillains, gorgeous visual effects, plus it's easily the most entertaining game I've played online in a long, long time. »

« Eu não tenho palavras para descrever o quanto amo esse jogo, ele fez parte da minha infância e adolescência, zerei diversas vezes, já joguei todas as versões e posso dizer que é o melhor jogo de super heróis que existe e o segundo melhor jogo de RPG de ação, só Diablo III é melhor, esse jogo carrega a responsabilidade por diversos heróis da Marvel Comics e faz tudo certinho, desde o começo, com uma história muito boa, progressão de habilidades e skills equilibradas, dificuldade equilibrada e muito mais, o jogo conta com mais de 25 personagens para jogar, você pode trocar de personagens a cada ponto de salvamento, além de poder trocar habilidades, upar e muito mais, eu digo que esse jogo é um dos melhores da história dos games, um verdadeiro clássico que completa 20 aninhos esse ano, jogasso e super recomendo para os que nunca jogaram, voces vão se viciar. »
