LEVEL (Czech Republic) 100/100

« An excellent and faithful conversion of the iconic card game into a very welcoming computer free-to-play form. This is a hit. [Issue#300] »

Game Revolution 90/100

« It’s an excellent entry point into the long-standing card game and a more complex alternative to titles like Hearthstone. Wizards has put its full support behind the product, matching release dates with paper sets and planning for the future. It seems like the perfect way to get back into Magic after a long time away, and it’s way cheaper than buying real boosters. Other TCGs have had their day, but it’s hard to see any of them surviving in this Arena going forward. »

« The easy way to play and know about one of the greatest card games in history. Magic Arena takes the best from Magic: The Gathering and put in a nice and exemplar F2P experience. »

Games.cz 90/100

« A great adaptation of one of the best card games of all time. It’s fast, it’s accessible, it isn’t any less complex than the original. Are you bored of Hearthstone? Try Arena. »

Game Rant 90/100

« Magic Arena is easily the most accessible and user-friendly version of the classic strategy card game. As the platform grows, makes improvements, and adds additional sets over time, it is sure to continue to be one of the main ways that gamers experience Magic: The Gathering at both the casual and competitive levels. »

Vandal 90/100

« This is the definitive Magic experience on PC. It’s free-to-play, but it’s incredibly well balanced and lets us enjoy it without hassle. If you enjoy card-based games, give it a try. »

Game Informer 88/100

« If you’re looking to play Magic, there’s probably no better way than Magic: The Gathering Arena, and that says a lot. Wizards of the Coast seemed hesitant to move all-in on a digital product in the last decade, perhaps out of fear that it could cannibalize the gigantic paper audience, but Magic is finally where it needs to be in the digital space. »

Destructoid 85/100

« Magic: The Gathering Arena is an absolutely brilliant recreation of Magic only held back by Wizards of the Coast's monetization strategy and some unfinished business. With more of an open mind toward new modes of play (plus ways to keep your old cards relevant) and a better client, this could be the definitive way to play the best card game in the world for the foreseeable future. »

« 17 games on the draw in a row, opponents draw perfect cards while I draw lands every freacking game. This game is very blatantly and obviously rigged to favor players who pay into it, as proven when i do pay the $5 for some gems and immediately have all of my problems solved. Blatant money grubbing disguised as a free game. »

« It's worse then cancer. Wizards and **** company Hasbro turned a great game into a **** **** show. Rigged games, and not just saying this. It's actually true and you can look it up, it's even in there TOC. It's pay to win, and rigged. It used to be about community, now it's about giving people cancer and draining then dry as the lose the wil to live. Wizards is a joke now. Plus, player base is also a bunch of **** losers. They all rope, or rage quite like little babies. They should all be bashed to death if you ask me. So a 0 from me. »

« The game plays and functions amazingly well and has an amazing tutorial, if you want to get friends or family into MTG in general I highly recommend you tell them to play the tutorial because it's amazing for that purpose. But that's where the positives end because unfortunately this game is massively pay to win so after a while you will just not be able to play fairly without spending a lot of money. It also lacks a commander mode and only has brawl as an alternative which is disappointing. »

« Arena is a very good platform. It works perfectly and matchmaking is quick. However drafting is to expensive for what you get. Also the game of Magic is flawed within itsself since much due to the land mecanic not being updated since it launched in the 90s. 30% of all matches will be ruined becasue yo wont get that third land or you draw that fifth land in a row. I still play, but at times its very frustrating. »

« If you work for the MTG arena team as a dev, please do the world a massive favor and kys. The world and game of MTG would be 1000000000000x better without you in it. The game is rigged as **** and wizards of the coast/hasbro are just going to milk the game for every penny while it falls into the ****. Every single person giving this **** company a bad rating all has the same thing to say about it, crazy. The shuffler algorithm was confirmed to be rigged after 1 million game test and sure enough the **** at Wizard made up some **** after being called out on fraud. They sure as hell didnt tell any of the players about the "Hand smoothing" algorithm until they were called out on it. Look into brawl/commander deckweights on MTG arena as well. Once again the inbred circular family tree hills have eyes peices of trash at Wizards think they know whats best! Support a local pile of **** in a random field before you support any of these trash cans, they shouldnt even have a job and its disgraceful that they breathe the same air. »

« Too expensive matchmaking is the worst If you dont pay, you dont get good stuff, even when this game is ''free'' If you want to get vs players who maybe the level/ experience that you, you got to pay the expensive gems, or be the boxing bag for the ones who pay the game gets stuck if you create more that 250 tokens I would never waste more money in this game »

« MTGA has obvious matchmaking rigging and even card draw rigging to make the game unplayable for me. After playing paper magic for 20 years anyone can see how rigged the matchmaking and shuffler are. Sad this game could have been good but falls very very short from the paper experience. FAIL. Uninstalled. »

« If you look at the stats, MTG IS the ONKY REASON HASBRO STILL EXISTS. ONCE THESE CORPORATE SCUM FIGURED THAT OUT THEY PRESSED EVERYONE HARD FOR NEW IDEAS. UNFORTUNATELY THEY DO NOT GIVE A CRAP ABOUT THE PEOPLE THAT PLAY THIS WONDERFUL GAME. AND THE AUTO SHUFFLER IS "CHEATING" IF NOT THEN WHY ARE MY LANDS ALWAYS ON THE LEFT. IT IS THE AI IN THE GAME DECIDING WHAT TOU GET VERSUS RANDOM CARD DRAW. HABSO HAS DESTROYED THE ACTUAL VALUE OF THE GAME. AND IM DONE »
