FASTER update now in Beta!
Hey everyone - We've completed our second major update to the game, the FASTER patch! Kind of ironic when it takes us a few months to complete, but quite a few things have happened since our last patch. 1. We've taken back publishing control of our title. Our collaboration with All In Games was great, but their focus shifted to their major titles, with little time for ours. With our future plans, we wanted to take the lead again which means we're once again self-publishing this title. 2. As you may know, the game is also available on consoles. With the next generation coming out, we were waiting to see what impact it might have on our title. So far, we've decided not to do a(nother) visual overhaul, but we have chosen to add a few options that will allow people with a next-gen device to take full advantage of the extra graphical horsepower. You PC people won't have to worry about this too much, but in the course of things, we have further optimized the game, so if you're running on a laptop, the game will likely be smoother for you too! So here's the changelog for this update: Fixed a bug where additional waves wouldn't spawn when waiting for an objective to complete. Fixed an issue where the player was unable to hit an object when it was too close. Fixed an issue where the player was able to shoot through walls with some of the larger guns. The fourth screen is now used to display player ranking when playing with three players. Fixed a performance issue during the Victory screen. Improved hit-box for aliens, making it easier to hit them from or on an incline. Improved balance for audio, making the music much more audible in many situations. Improved performance on lower-end devices by optimizing older code. Improved pick-up visuals, now clearly stating what the item is, allowing users to decide weither the pick it up or not. Added a QR code to the main menu, linking to the Triangle Studios Discord server. Steam - Changed controller behavior so that a controller can now be used by a second player instead of always being assigned to the first player. Steam - Updated the Steam Libraries for this build. Steam - Fixed an issue where the Steam Controller would not have a Default Configuration assinged to it. And in case you're wondering about changes to other platforms :-) PS4 - Fixed a bug where unassigned controllers would not show the white color. PS4 - Added DualShock4 speaker support. Xbox - Fixed an issue where the game would not return to title screen after switching user account. PS4 & Xbox - Added the option to unlock framerate PS4 & Xbox - Added dynamic scaling, allowing up to 4K resolutions One thing I wanted to point out is something that was mentioned by quite a few people on the community board. An issue has been fixed where a second player was unable to join though the controller, while the primary player was using keyboard and mouse. That should be resolved now. If you want to help us out, switch to the Beta branch and try out the latest version. We hope you like it! Join our Discord server if you want to join the conversation and discuss future changes or updates :-) {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/7934388/56418d36c1f2f229522dbcba571951c220be6892.png

Critiques de la Presse (Metacritic)
« A decent arcade shooter that is definitely worth the price of admission. But I would gladly pay a few dollars more for a fleshed out story and character selection. »
« If you’re looking for a new twin-stick shooter and fancy firing some destruction towards a bunch of pink aliens, then you could do a ton worse than to fill your boots with It Came from Space and Ate our Brains on Xbox One. »
« It’s just alright choice for a pizza evening with friends in front of a TV and console. [04/2020, p.74] »
« It's definitely a solid twin-stick shooter but after a while, It came from space and ate our brains becomes so monotonous that you'll eventually feel like something came from space and ate your brain. Well, they got me there, I guess. »
« So, the levels in ICFSaAOB are long, but the lack of meta play or any incentive to replay means its lifespan is short — paradoxically, it’s too long in the short term, and too short in the long term. It is also repetitive to the point of tedium and the answer in almost all situations is ‘use the shotgun’. »
Avis des Joueurs (Metacritic)
« It came from space and ate our brains is an Arena Style Top-Down Shooter. You're Jerry, a balding fellow who looks like he was plucked right out of Minecraft. Though he would have never learned how to handle Firearms like he does there. The world has been overrun with bright pink aliens with a taste for human brains. With an insatiable desire for grey matter, most of the planet is wasted, and only a few humans are left. Survivors like Jerry will do everything to eradicate this alien menace, especially if it has to do with bullets. The gameplay is as simple as the animation style, but the game isn't. With ever-growing waves of these neon extraterrestrials, the game can get quite chaotic fast. The game unfortunately only has local live multiplayer and split-screen, but bringing a buddy adds to the insanity. This remaster is clean and Fun. It's crazy how intense the game can get, even with the most powerful weapons, the hordes can get the best of you fast. The fun is well worth the low price tag, even without any online play. A fast-paced fun little game that packs quite the challenge, Top-Down Shooter fans will get hours of delight from this game. »
