Welcome to Interior Worlds; an ambient and unsettling first-person exploration game where you'll dive into strange, yet familiar spaces. Temporary gaps and portals we cross at some point or another - now yearning for a closer look. A look that can only be seen properly through the lens of an SLR camera.
- Use your vintage and mysterious analog camera to capture stunning photographs of environmental anomalies throughout each space. Keep a sharp eye out while traversing the more... ominous locations.
- Track and share your own in-game catalog of photos, timestamped and pre-filtered with subtle layers of maximum liminal crust.
- Ten unique thresholds to traverse. A roadside hotel, empty movie theater, dying mall, and many more. Every environment is hand-crafted in a loving throwback to late 90's and early 00's graphics.
- A multitude of ways to capture photos. Adjust zoom levels, increase/decrease lens focus, tilt left/right for a dutch angle, and more. Create perturbing compositions in hundreds of ways.
- Unparalleled interactivity. Activate vending machines, phones, sinks, televisions, or simply turn the lights on or off for a different photo-moment vibe.
- Immersive and unsettling soundscape. Melt into an eerie mix of low, rumbling drones and soft, stretched pads during the journey.

Mac + Linux Updated to Version 1.1.1
Hi all-I was recently made aware that I had completely forgotten to revisit the Mac and Linux builds and update them up to the same version as the current Windows build (all the way back in Feb '24 ːsteamfacepalmː).Life's become very busy over the years and I don't check back up on reviews that often, so it totally went over me! Please accept my deepest apologies~I've updated both platforms to be caught up with the Windows version. They are marked 1.1.1 but there is virtually no difference between them and the current Windows build.I don't have a dedicated Linux machine to test on beyond surface level make-sure-it-runs type testing, and I'm aware of some minor visual issues that affect the that version. Mac should run fine from what I tested on my old Macbook. Other than that let me know if you run into any game-breaking bugs on either platform.Thanks very much for your patience and continued support!
Forest World and new content now LIVE.
Hi all- Interior Worlds' newest and biggest post-release update is now live with version 1.1.0! This is a major content update, with lots of new little things going on. You can expect these in version 1.1.0: Massive new forest level with a fair share of unique areas and secrets. 23 hidden photo filters you can use to give photos a whole new look. 10 hidden tape objects to collect that lead to an interesting unlockable. 8 brand new achievements to go with both the new content, and some of the previous. A small photo thumbnail to help preview your snapshots as you take them! More menu options and settings; volume sliders, visual toggles, sprint toggle, etc. New little easter eggs and subtle spooks to give you Slight performance boosts all around (hoping this is the case- the lowest spec gpu had to test on was a 1080 and I didn't have much of an impact). Also keep in mind that at this time I've opted to make this a staggered update, starting with a Windows release, followed by Mac + Linux builds in another near future patch. Apologies for any inconveniences! Thank you so much for checking out the update and continuing to support me as a developer. « Born from the viral sensation of liminal spaces, Interior Worlds is a short semi-horror exploration photography game. When I say semi-horror, I mean it's not exactly your typical horror game: there are no threats, there are no proper jumpscares, but it is drenched in an atmosphere so deep and unsettling that the game can persuade you that a jumpscare might be coming, even if you've been explicitly told that it won't. Your objective in each level is simply to photograph marked locations and make your way to the exit, but this is obviously not the way the game was designed to be played. The maps in this game are designed in a way that begs for the player to take every opportunity to set up and snap an effective photo. Some zones are cramped and dirty, with graffiti and garbage scattered everywhere, where others like the airport are uncomfortably sterile. The adaptation of real world settings to abandoned locations works wonderfully, and creates a strange horror of a world now lost, long abandoned by those that shaped it. I believe that if you don't care for liminal space this game won't do a lot for you, but if you love liminal space this game was made for you. »
