Injustice: Gods Among Us – Ultimate Edition est parue le 12 novembre 2013. Éditée par WB Games, cette version ultime du jeu de combat de NetherRealm Studios a été développée par High Voltage Software. Elle enrichit l’expérience originale avec six nouveaux personnages jouables, plus de trente costumes additionnels et soixante missions S.T.A.R. Labs inédites. Les joueurs y retrouvent des icônes de l’univers DC telles que Batman, le Joker, Green Lantern, Flash, Superman et Wonder Woman, plongés dans une histoire inédite où s’efface la frontière entre le bien et le mal.
Disponible sur PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, PlayStation 4 et PlayStation Vita, le titre est proposé au prix de 19,99 €. La presse spécialisée a salué cette édition, EGM estimant que « tout le contenu téléchargeable de l’original – costumes et missions S.T.A.R. Labs supplémentaires – associé à une petite touche next-gen rend un excellent jeu de combat encore meilleur ». ZTGD a renchéri : « Si vous avez aimé le jeu de base et cherchez un jeu de combat sur votre nouvelle console, vous ne pouvez pas vraiment vous tromper ». Les retours de joueurs sur Metacritic et Steam soulignent également la qualité du mode histoire et de la galerie de personnages, certains regrettant toutefois des graphismes un peu vieillissants. Avec un score Metacritic de 79 et une note moyenne agrégée de 77,38, Injustice: Gods Among Us – Ultimate Edition a su convaincre les amateurs de baston et de comics.

« This game is good, but i wish it could be better. The story mode is decent. It has a great DC character roster including 6 DLC characyers and a special guest, Scorpion. The stages are interactive, which is pretty cool, it's easy to learn, has some cool alternate costumes and it has good single-player content. The STAR Labs mission thing is decent, but repetitive. Some problems include the graphics look dated, with no changes from the older consoles like the PS3. Online modes can lag, limited game modes, extreme grind for trophies and AI difficulty spikes. Overall, Ultimate Edition is not a big of an upgrade compared to the standard version on older consoles, but it's still a good game. »

« Sadly, this PS4 port has the same graphics as the PS3 version. It does display at 1080p and features an improved framerate. But the differences are negligible. However, "Ultimate" does include all DLC, so that's pretty good. If you're a fan of both DC Comics and Mortal Kombat, you'll have plenty of fun. I would rate this with an 8 out of 10. »
