Giana Sisters DS, développé par Bitfield et édité par Destineer et DTP Entertainment, est un jeu de plateforme sorti sur Nintendo DS le 3 avril 2009. Le titre propose un classique du genre où Giana, prisonnière d'un monde onirique, doit récupérer ses diamants perdus et rallier un château mystérieux à travers plus de 80 niveaux inédits, loin d'un remake strict de l'original. Le jeu exploite les spécificités de la console portable avec de nouveaux objets, comme un chewing-gum activable au stylet permettant de voler en soufflant dans le microphone, ainsi qu'une carte du monde pour sélectionner et rejouer les niveaux. L'histoire du titre trouve sa source dans The Great Giana Sisters sur Commodore 64, devenu classique culte, dont ce volet DS a amorcé le reboot d'une série poursuivie par la suite. La presse a salué l'expérience comme l'un des meilleurs jeux de plateforme sur certaines plateformes mobiles, et certains joueurs l'ont décrit comme un plateformer de référence au toucher intuitif, tandis que d'autres ont regretté sur la version PC dérivée un gameplay très limité. L'aventure principale est estimée à environ trois heures et demie.
