FIFA Soccer 12, développé par EA Canada et édité par Electronic Arts, est sorti le 27 septembre 2011 sur PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC et Mac. Ce titre de simulation sportive repose sur le moteur Impact et introduit le Player Impact Engine, un moteur physique conçu pour retranscrire la physicalité du football dans chaque interaction sur le terrain. Le jeu propose également le Precision Dribbling pour un meilleur contrôle du ballon et le Tactical Defending, qui rééquilibre l'approche défensive autour du positionnement et des interceptions, tandis que l'intelligence des joueurs contrôlés par l'ordinateur bénéficie de la Pro Player Intelligence.
Le jeu a reçu un accueil critique très favorable, avec un score Metacritic de 89 et une note agrégée de 84,09. La presse a salué ses ambitions, Gameblog.fr évoquant un épisode prenant des risques et excellent, et GamePro qualifiant l'œuvre de jalon pour le jeu sportif capturant l'essence du football. Certains joueurs sur Metacritic ont pour leur part loué l'évolution graphique et de gameplay ainsi que la qualité remarquable du titre pour son époque.

Почему-то тут меня зацепила Бундеслига, играл как за Топ Баварию, так и за команду борющуюся за вылет - к сожалению, не помню за какую. Тут по настоящему увлекся трансферами, пересборкой состава и поиском перспективных футболистов. »
