Sorti le 28 septembre 2010, FIFA Soccer 11 est un jeu de simulation sportive développé par EA Canada et publié par Electronic Arts sur PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 et PC. Il utilise le moteur RenderWare pour offrir un réalisme visuel et un contrôle accrus. Parmi les nouveautés, le jeu introduit un système de passes Pro Passing, des collisions à 360 degrés pour les duels, la possibilité de créer des chants personnalisés en ligne, et un mode carrière enrichi visant à simuler plus finement la gestion d'une équipe.
La presse a accueilli favorablement le titre, avec un score Metacritic de 83. Gameblog.fr a qualifié le jeu de « énorme », saluant ses licences, sa production et ses animations fidèles, tandis qu'Eurogamer Italy estimait qu'il recréait pleinement l'atmosphère et les sensations d'un vrai match. Du côté des joueurs, les retranscriptions d'avis laissent apparaître des impressions mitigées : certains ont apprécié l'arrivée de FIFA Ultimate Team, d'autres jugeant le simple fait que le jeu réponde aux attentes sans plus de surprise.

« FIFA 11 is huge. Filled with licenses and data, amazing production-wise, with photo-realistic visuals and incredibly truthful animations, EA's simulation delivers a convincing gameplay paired with a thrilling atmosphere. From the rumbling of its stadiums to the hit music of its menus, this 2011 edition fills us with joy, as it's surprisingly able to innovate yet again, despite the franchise already being the frontrunner. Praise the 11 versus 11 online play with the ability to play as the goalkeeper. You're more of a manager. The career mode is there for you. Add several subtle additions here and there, and this year yet again, we'll have to call it "the king FIFA". And if the way EA Canada has paved up until now is any indication, it seems the throne isn't ready to waver. »

« FIFA 11 is any doubt the best FIFA game I have ever played. This was also the 1st FIFA game I have played online the game play is so smooth and realistic. FIFA Ultimate Team is fantastic, this game mode is playable to any FIFA fans. The best thing with Ultimate Team is that the best players to get have the highest overall ratings which is excellent no one would want EA handicap it would make the game unplayable. An example of an Ultimate Team I had which was great was an inform La Liga Team and I won almost every game which proved that there was no EA handicap. Offline is very good as well, it's similar in ways to Online mode were the best overall rated players are the best players to use. The shooting and passing feels very comfortable to me because passing seems to play out very well and the shooting online and offline feel realistic, what's realistic with the shooting is that it is not easy or hard to score goals. The difficulty of scoring goals is about right. FIFA 11 just did everything well, if you're looking a football/soccer game that you will enjoy this game is worth picking up. »

« This game was a disaster in my opinion. I got this game hoping for improvements from the shabby FIFA 10 effort by EA Sports, however it was better by the tiniest bit. The music was slightly more appealing however nothing which you would want to listen to all over again. The bigger variety of things commentated on made the gameplay time I had slightly larger. Ultimate Team made free was good however I do not see what the big thing is about Ultimate Team. WOW, create your own team with your choice of kit and your choice of stadium and play against other people, what an absolutely stupid thing to waste your time on. This is the game that has made me realise not to buy FIFAs from now on and I am sure it is the same with many more people. The Be A Keeper mode is the dullest yet in FIFA and provides you with more boredom than you would have if you were on the Main Menu. »
