La presse a salué l'opus, Gaming Age écrivant que « Far Cry 5 is hands down the best yet for the series, and may be the best Ubisoft title ever », tandis que Cheat Code Central a nuancé en notant que « Far Cry 5 suffers from quest overload, but will give players plenty to do even after story completion ».

Gaming Age 100/100

« Far Cry 5 is hands down the best yet for the series, and may be the best Ubisoft title ever. »

Cheat Code Central 96/100

« Far Cry 5 suffers from quest overload, but will give players plenty to do even after story completion. »

GameSpace 95/100

« Far Cry 5 is an artistic lesson in juxtaposition. On one hand you have a group of devoted followers of a “message of peace" that live in violence. You have a calm and charismatic leader who insights calamity. There are communities united in anarchy. Far Cry 5 provokes its audience to think and wrestle with the uncomfortable answers to our own “what-ifs” about faith, family, and the power of community. »

Hobby Consolas 93/100

« Simply put, Far Cry 5 is the best Far Cry game to date. It has the best story, the best progression and introduces a lot of changes (for the good) while maintaining that explosive old formula that works so freaking well. God Bless Hope County. »

Wccftech 91/100

« If you're wondering whether bringing the madness to our doorstep, making the entire campaign co-op and including an impressive toolbox to create new levels and missions while still retaining that visceral gunplay the series is known for keeps Far Cry 5 fresh and worth playing on Day One, my answer is: yes, absolutely. »

CGMagazine 90/100

« Far Cry 5 was a blast from start to finish, pulling me into the experience instantly with an Americana rich world full of memorable characters and built with a strong core of addictive first-person gameplay. »

COGconnected 90/100

« If you’re itching for a hootin’ and hollerin’ good time with the good ol’ boys and gals of ‘Murica, look no farther than Far Cry 5. The solid core of the game provides a perfect vehicle for a nuanced and thought-provoking story in an underused setting. Some of the content might make folks uncomfortable, but if you hang on tight like Clutch Nixon would, there’s a very worthwhile adventure to be had in Hope County. »

Critical Hit 90/100

« Choice is the driving theme in Far Cry 5, a game which opts to venture out of its comfort zone while fine-tuning every aspect of what makes the series so great. It’s incredibly relevant, Montana is a gorgeous slice of new terrain that is fraught with peril and the road ahead that Far Cry Arcade represents is exciting to say the least. Simply put, the fifth numbered chapter in Ubisoft’s series of madness, freedom and exploration is Far Cry perfected. »

« Amazing open world exploration and love the choices of vehicles i can use. But the biggest issues are really the soundtracks and mission difficulties. From the first mission u have this super **** irritating intense hyped background soundtrack that is so unnecessary. It's obvious developers are trying to create an adrenaline rush, but when u are going on stealth mode and trying to figure a way to sneak around, this hyped up background soundtrack is irritating as ****. Best part is, every fkng mission or outpost takeout comes with this brainless music. Really grating on the nerves after awhile. Combined with every mission always being very rush and intense, and u are always overwhelmed. It's just really really irritating as **** and really very grating on the nerves the whole thing. Way too similar every single time. Missions can also be ridiculously difficult and u die from absolute random causes. Like when was trying to take down John Seed's plane, it actually drove right into my plane and we both exploded. Yet, i respawned and John Seed was still alive and i had to kill him again. I play with my dog companion and surprisingly some outposts get alarmed by the dog and i lose my cover and get attacked. These inconsistencies are what kill the game for me. And don't get me started on the Jacob's kill house **** missions. Kept forcing the player to go through the same **** over & over again yet making it more & more difficult each time. I stopped & uninstalled the game at this point. This game has so much potential, ruined by developers who don't understand how gamers think. »

« Not very good ... the coop is ok, the story is meh. The only good thing was the map »

« Very good game though there could have been more contrast to the missions after you kill one of Josephs siblings because we all need to agree saving people from a bunker gets boring fast. The ending was very unsettling (in a good way) and unexpected. »

Fourdetrance 9/10

« My favorite FC game. Great graphics (besides a few graphics glitches here and there), great story, great music (Hammock), awesome vibe- the world really feels alive, lots to do, the challenges and perk point make me want to keep playing, the ai doesn’t play around, and it doesn’t get too repetitive. Some of the controls can be a bit off, but not game breaking in the least- just sometimes annoying. Overall it’s a great game that I don’t mind dropping many hours into. Highly recommended. »
