Far Cry 3, développé par Ubisoft Montreal et édité par Ubisoft Entertainment, est sorti le 28 novembre 2012 sur PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 et PC. Ce jeu de tir à la première personne et d'aventure, troisième opus principal de la série après Far Cry 2, se déroule sur les îles fictives de Rook, un archipel tropical que les joueurs peuvent explorer librement. Le gameplay repose sur le combat et l'exploration, avec un arsenal varié pour affronter ennemis humains et faune hostile, et intègre des éléments de jeu de rôle comme des arbres de compétences et de l'expérience. Jason Brody, le protagoniste, doit sauver ses amis enlevés par des pirates et s'échapper de l'île et de ses habitants instables. L'univers détaillé va des montagnes aux marécages et plages, et met en scène des personnages comme Vaas Montenegro, l'un des antagonistes les plus notoires de la série, dans un récit où la morale est incertaine. « far cry 3 was my first open world game and it honestly didnt feel like anything else i had played before we were dropped in the middle of this massive island and we had those cool tattoos on our arm i think this game is basically the pioneer of that whole climb a tower to reveal the map then go clear out the enemy camp and take over the area formula everyone should definitely give it a try though right now the market is flooded with games exactly like this so it might not feel as impressive today but for its time it was seriously a legend »
