GameSpew 100/100

« We had high expectations for Diablo 4, and we're so happy to say that Blizzard has smashed them. This is a title that takes Diablo 3's meaningful quality-of-life improvements and expands upon them with aplomb, while also bringing back the much-loved look and feel of Diablo 2. All the while, it's not too focused on the past, taking the series into open world territory and making it more story-led than ever before. And what a story it tells: we never expected to be so invested. But more importantly, we can't wait to start a new character and jump once again into the endgame. Diablo 4 is devilishly good – the best Diablo game yet, in fact, and it only stands to get better. »

GamingTrend 100/100

« Diablo IV represents a massive shift for the series, moving to a more inclusive and open world that is somehow as inviting for new players as returning veterans. Complexity is mixed with flexibility to create a game that is sure to consume you for hundreds if not thousands of hours. Diablo IV is the game we’ve been waiting for, and a return to form for the Blizzard team. »

Player 2 100/100

« Diablo IV is everything fans could want and more. An amazing world, engaging story and mountains of captivating content make this the best game in a franchise filled with amazing experiences. Diablo IV, simply put, is amazing. »

The Enemy 100/100

« Diablo IV is an action RPG game that aims to redeem Blizzard's reputation - and nails it. With an engaging story and well-developed characters, the game presents a gripping plot and intelligent dialog. The quest to prevent Lilith from obtaining the power of Hell is accompanied by other characters with their own ambitions. In addition to the main story, the side missions are also captivating. Diablo IV retrieves the magical essence of the series and delivers an immersive experience from start to finish, showcasing Blizzard's care in crafting a satisfying and exciting tale. »

TechRadar Gaming 100/100

« Diablo 4 is a meticulously crafted action RPG and sets a new standard for isometric, open-world adventures. »

VideoGamer 100/100

« Diablo 4 feels like the apex of the series, bringing together everything great about the previous entries. It isn't without its minor flaws, and the success of the endgame content is still up in the air, but for once Diablo has a gripping story, phenomenal graphics, and a gameplay loop that doesn't innovate too much but is certainly better than its predecessor. »

PCGamesN 100/100

« Diablo 4 embodies the essence of what makes Diablo so great, taking the best elements of its predecessors and sewing them together to create an ever-changing, ever-evolving chimera that we can’t wait to play for years to come. »

Windows Central 100/100

« Simply put, Diablo 4 may be Blizzard's best-ever game, and that's a really tough legacy to live up to. Immaculate storytelling meets stunning art, polished, bug-free gameplay, atop endlessly customizable combat with the promise of dozens, maybe hundreds of hours of content — Diablo 4 might be Blizzard's most important, pivotal game since World of Warcraft. Do yourself a favor and go in completely blind. Even if you're not a typical fan of isometric action RPGs, I'm confident that you won't be disappointed. »

« The Echo Lilith boss is completely broken. It doesn’t matter how much health or armour you have; she kills you in a single hit with some of her abilities. What’s the point of loot at all if the whole fight just boils down to dodging waves? It’s an absolutely frustrating experience. »

« Caveat to score: I only played for a couple hours. This may be revised if I ever try it again. That said, the time I played really ****. »

« Blizzard has just released the Lord of Hatred expansion, and with it they increased the game’s difficulty level while simultaneously reworking the skill trees for all classes — and they locked the best variants of those skills behind the expansion. If you don’t buy the expansion, you lose access to character abilities that have nothing to do with the new content and have been in the game since launch. This is the only game I know where releasing an expansion actually breaks the base game and slaps a label on it saying “buy the expansion to access this.” It’s absolutely unserious marketing.Instead of creating a separate server for players with the base game, another for those with one expansion, and another for those with two, they threw everyone onto the same server and expect them to compete at the same game difficulty. So without the newest expansion, your character will be mediocre at best. It’s a complete lack of respect for players who have already spent a lot of money on the game. Apart from that, it's not necessery to balance a game, nah, let's create 16 difficulties instead - yes this game has 16 difficulties. Staying as far away from Blizzard as possible. »

« Score: 0/10. I bought the base game expecting to have access to the complete progression systems for the classes included in that purchase. Finding out later that part of the character progression and talent options are effectively locked behind a paid expansion feels extremely disappointing.Selling new classes or additional story content as DLC is understandable. However, restricting the full development of characters that were already part of the original game crosses a line for me. It creates the impression that the base game is intentionally incomplete unless you spend even more money. This design hurts player trust far more than it improves the game. Instead of rewarding players for supporting the game, it pressures them into buying the expansion just to enjoy what feels like a complete experience for content they already **** gameplay itself can still be enjoyable, but business decisions like this overshadow everything else. I cannot recommend supporting a model that fragments core progression systems behind additional purchases. »

« I finished the base version of Diablo IV without expansions and without really touching the endgame: 36 hours, Druid, Paragon level 76, all Altars of Lilith found, the campaign completed, almost every side quest done, every dungeon cleared, and the full base map discovered. For me, Diablo IV is not a bad game, but it is a strong average one. The atmosphere is easily one of its best parts. The world looks heavy, dark, violent, and oppressive in a way that still feels like Diablo. The combat is fast and smooth, and dungeons were the most enjoyable part of the base game for me, even if they are repetitive and lack boss variety. The main problem is the campaign and progression. The story looks much better in Blizzard-style cinematics than it feels while actually playing. There are too many interruptions, too many weak dialogues, and too little emotional attachment to the characters. The Mephisto intrigue is interesting, but most of the campaign left me cold. The difficulty restriction during the first playthrough also hurt the experience. My character became too strong too quickly, but I could not raise the world difficulty enough to keep the campaign engaging. Loot mostly felt like comparing bigger numbers, not like exciting ARPG progression. Even legendary drops rarely felt special. Side quests are uneven too. Some are fine, but too many repeat the same emotional tragedy template. The emote quests feel especially out of place, almost like Fortnite somehow walked into Diablo. Base Diablo IV has good atmosphere, enjoyable combat, and pleasant dungeons, but the campaign, loot, progression, and first-playthrough balance made it much less satisfying than I expected. 5.5/10 »

« What did you do this game. Almost to the new season. Can barely progress, cant get any orange gear and everything is bugged out. Disappointing how they ruined a decent game. »
