« The graphics are unparalleled, the mosnters are original and challeng[ing] and the scope of the game is impressive. [June 2003, p.136] »
« Probably the prettiest of the three recent Castlevanias. [Fall 2003, p.35] »
« With all of its unique features and amounts of item/soul collection, Aria could be considered second to only one other game in the Castlevania series – the masterpiece, "Symphony of the Night." »
« It's the closest a GBA Castlevania adventure has come to achieving "Symphony's" level of atmosphere, and it has a crazy power-up system that makes you want to keep playing and playing and playing. [June 2003, p.43] »
« Not enough can be said for how much fun this game is, how the action keeps coming at you, and how the soul system truly adds a layer of customization and replayability that wasn't in previous Castlevania games. »
« Despite having these RPG-like features, Aria of Sorrow is not at all an RPG! What it is, is an amazing, exciting, must-have game that'll keep you entertained for many, many years. »
« Even if you’ve never played one of the recent Castlevania titles, and especially if you were bothered by the unbalanced design of the last two games, go out right now and pick up Aria of Sorrow. »
« "Harmony of Dissonance" was, and still is fantastic. Aria of Sorrow is better. »

« This game is awesome, creative and, most important, very fun. I played this game a lot of times, the fist time i finished the game I was just 14 and immediately felt in love for it, becoming my favortie game ever. the fact that this game was made for a portable console is wild, it is simple but at the same time it pretty long for a GBA game, however, if you pay attention at the map, initially, it doesn't look so big, but the gameplay is so good that it makes the map 10 times bigger. Even though this is my favorite game, I noticed a few negative points. The souls system is pretty fun, but the droprate is ridiculous, and farming then is just boring. And other the thing is what the souls do, if you dont search for what which soul does and want the OG experience, there are some cool and scary enemy, which you expect to have a powerful soul, their ability just increase your lucky or something very disappointing. At some point of the playtrough, you just stay withe the same souls until the and of the game, and thats likely to kill the adventure and exploring. One of the best Castlevania's of all time and, for sure, I recommend Aria of Sorrow to every one. »
« This game is my fav castlevania game, because i love its artwork and atmosfere, but i acepts the game as very bad parts -senario isnt very felt satisfied because the game has so many missing parts in story. -characters is designed good senarist couldt gave them dialogues and role in story. -combat mechaincs is very poor, game has quite weapon options but it doesnt affect on playing style so much as perks. İn the end i think this game has best character designs in castvania series but it cant be the best castvania game. »
« One of my all time favorites and an underrated classic. Aesthetic, lore, and engaging gameplay all come together like a delicious sandwich. »
« Excellent blend of exploring and action makes Aria of Sorrow addicting as hell. Thanks for the souls system slaying monsters is even more fun. Having GBA these days must have been wonderful. 9-/10 »
« This game is really amazing. The graphics are stunning but the level design could be better »
