Buffy the Vampire Slayer

20 septembre 2000

GamingTrend 92/100

« I'd say there are about 15-20 hours of play here, but I'd probably double that just for me as I kept replaying so many of the boards due to the fights I got in (and that next to last mission that I so vehemently despise). »

TotalGames.net 90/100

« A game whose high-resolution graphics, expansive levels and creatively devised puzzles will delight Xbox owners everywhere. »

Game Informer 90/100

« It's just plain awesome to kick the head of a zombie and watch it thrash away on the floor. [Oct 2002, p.88] »

Official Xbox Magazine 90/100

« Buffy is exceptionally well balanced and designed. The control is nicely responsive, it looks absolutely fabulous, and there's a tremendous amount of gameplay variety. [Sept 2002, p.84] »

Play Magazine 90/100

« Buffy fans can breathe a huge sigh of relief. Not only is the game great, but with Buffy still hotter than a witch's tit in a brass bra, you can bet a sequel is imminent. [Sept 2002, p.67] »

GameZone 88/100

« You don't have to be a fan of the show to enjoy this action-packed game that, aside from looking really good, is both fun and highly addictive. »

ActionTrip 85/100

« For gamers who dig various deadly weaponry, Buffy: the Vampire Slayer is packed with a diversity of vampire-icing thingies, most of which have to be handled with care or they can be quite deadly to you as well. »

GameSpy 85/100

« Even if you know nothing about Buffy, the TV series, know this about Buffy, the Xbox video game: it's unquestionably the best beat'em-up for the system. »

Avis des Joueurs (Metacritic)

Rydoglol 8/10

« I think an 8 is pretty fair for 2025. The graphics are pretty decent for an earlier Xbox game especially. There is enough going on and short enough **** to keep you engaged to the end. The level designs are pretty cool and fans of the show will enjoy that. Unfortunately the platforming can be annoying because the jump is quite sensitive and I kept dying because of it. The frame rate on the original Xbox is nice too which helps. »

Koepke14 10/10

« Great game play and was a ton of fun. Reminded me a lot of the tv show. Highly recommend. »

« Its not a bad game. Once you get past the how to level. It becomes an ok game. I would say give it a try »

Modax19 9/10

« Played in 2020. I remember renting this game back in the day and I remembered it being fun so I added it to my collection. This game exceeded my expectations. The core action gameplay is excellent and (nearly) everything about it has aged gracefully. My playthrough took 8 hours so its a little short but that's not necessarily a bad thing as the game never overstays its welcome. I would give this a 10 out of 10 however late in the game there are some very annoying sections where you can fall into bottomless pits tp your death and you are required to restart the level from the beginning. However this did not prevent me from finishing the game. Recommended. »

« I missed Buffy. Every day, I watched the series on DVD and one of my favorite Buffy episodes was the pilot episode "Welcome to the Hellmouth." Reminds me of the good ol' days of the WB network. The XBOX version of the same name as the TV show or movie is incredible. Even though I don't have an XBOX for a long time, but it's like a hack and slash game where Buffy kicks, stakes, and slays demon after demon. It's one of the best TV adapted video games of all time. »
