Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons
Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons

« Brothers is nothing short of a triumph, glowing brightly in the embers of the dying fire of this console generation and reminding us all why we started playing games in the first place. »
« It's rare for a game to forge a connection so strong, and even rarer for you to become the connective tissue. »
« Enigmatic, deep, poetic, imaginative, intense. Brothers is an emotional masterpiece. »
« Games capable of forging such a connection with a player aren't legion, and those who literally transform the player himself into that very same connection, even more. Brothers manages to do both, and without ever doing too much, is able in a very short playtime to evoke the sadness of grief, the joy of the discovery of the outside world, the transmission between the generations, the coming of adulthood, and much more, all brilliantly weaved into the gameplay itself. Quite an accomplishment. »
« If you’ve grown tired of the same old stuff filling store shelves and hard drive space, then you should really consider Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons for a more unique, emotional ride than you’re likely to see all year. »
« The resulting journey is so singularly devoted to creating a specific tone and atmosphere that you won't likely be able to stop thinking about it until long after you've seen it through to the end. »
« Brothers is a wonderful piece of storytelling and a fantastic puzzle game that’ll make you want to hug a loved one. Highly recommended. »
« Short but immensely satisfying, it's Ico meets Limbo in Fable's world. In a word: spellbinding. [July 2013, p.80] »
Avis des Joueurs (Metacritic)
« A touching and emotional journey that stands out for its innovative gameplay mechanic — controlling both brothers simultaneously to solve puzzles. The story is simple yet heartfelt, delivering a beautiful narrative through gameplay rather than dialogue. While it’s short and sometimes mechanically clunky, the unique approach makes it a memorable experience »
« Brilliant, beautiful, and simple! There is nothing like this game and it should be experienced by everyone from casual gamers to the ****'sa shot and touching tale that aged like a fine wine. »
« I like how short and to-the-point this was. + I think most people will remember the iconic spoiler scene for a long time. + The brevity does not overstay its welcome. »
« A very short but beautifully told story about two brothers on a quest to save their dad. The controls of this game aren't anything phenomenal but it's how it all ties together that make it a one of a kind experience that's definetely worth your time. »
« Story was meh and could have used dialogue. Gameplay was unique played it with my wife. Simple for a lot of people to pick up and play neat game just overhyped. I really don't see what others see in this and my wife feels the same way. There are way better coop experiences on offer. »
« Probably the most overrated game I've ever played. Non-existent gameplay, the game jumps, leans, crouches, etc. for you, you literally just give directions to the character and use a single button/lever. So lazy of the developer to not include real dialogue but to have them use an incredibly ugly made-up language that sounds like they're speech impaired. The only thing that really stood out for me is the graphics, which still hold up today and are very well optimized, the game can run on any potato and still look good. »
« Great game. You can tell it was made by a talented filmmaker, because the camera angles are brilliant. The graphics, models and animations still hold up. If you are interested in a chill, less action focused game, you should pick this up. »
