Triple Play Baseball
Triple Play Baseball, développé par Treyarch et publié par EA Sports, est paru le 12 mars 2001 sur les plates-formes PlayStation et PlayStation 2. Ce jeu de simulation sportive appartient à la série de simulations de baseball MLB d'EA Sports et aurait été intitulé Triple Play 2002 sans la suppression de l'année dans son nom.
Le titre permet comme ses prédécesseurs de sélectionner les équipes de la National League ou de l'American League et de contrôler la plupart des aspects des rencontres évoluant dans des représentations virtuelles de stades réels, avec l'ensemble des équipes, joueurs et statistiques actualisées de la saison 2000. Une fonction de tournoi mondial a été introduite, accessible uniquement après un succès en World Series. Le logiciel intègre la protection SafeDisc 2.
Le score Metacritic s'établit à 58, tout comme la note agrégée de 58,00. Certains médias ont toutefois mis en avant la réalisation graphique, Hot Games déclarant « The graphics look gorgeous » et GameSpy qualifiant le jeu de « The best-looking baseball game ever ».
