L'accueil critique a mêlé satisfactions et réserves. Le site 148Apps a qualifié le titre de « Fulfilling », alors que TouchArcade a écrit que « Overall, TNA Wrestling Impact seems to have a lot of potential, but ultimately fails in overall execution, which seems to be par for the course for most wrestl… ». De son côté, des joueurs sur Metacritic ont exprimé des avis favorables pour l'époque, l'un d'eux jugeant le jeu correct pour 2011 sur des plateformes mobiles comme Android et iOS, et un autre estimant qu'il était meilleur que les portages portables sur DS et PSP publiés par South Peak, tout en suggérant que Namco reprenne le développement d'une version console.

« better than the handheld update ports (Ds & Psp) that was by south peak. Namco should take over for the console version. it's the perfect timing to get a TNA impact 2023 video game. since impact wrestling returned to TNA brand this year. they seem to know more what they was doing with this ip but my main problem with this entire game franchise is they keep not adding the knockouts for some reason and somehow the referee never added. i played the game on android. btw »
« Theirs no many wrestling games on moble divices, so when I first heard about this game I was exicted. When I first stated playing it, it felt slow but I got used to it. There is a decent sized roster here but, dont let that fool you. Expect for their finishing move, every one has pretty much has the same move set, BECAUSE THEIRS LESS THEN A HANDFUL OF NON-FINISHER MOVES IN THE GAME!!!! So it gets repative really, really fast. If your a big wrestling/tna fan and you have a i/pod/pad/phone play the demo first. But, your not missing much from skipping the game althoughter, if you really want a good wrestling game on the go, pick up the wwe games on psp (the tna one on psp isnt good). »
