The Crew: Motorfest, développé par Ivory Tower et édité par Ubisoft Entertainment, est sorti le 14 septembre 2023 sur PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One et Xbox Series X|S. Ce jeu d'aventure et de course en monde ouvert se déroule sur des versions réduites des îles hawaïennes d'Oahu et de Maui, troisième volet de la série The Crew structuré autour d'un thème de festival avec des « Playlists » mêlant courses scénarisées, activités annexes et défis centrés sur des marques ou disciplines automobiles. Les joueurs peuvent y piloter des voitures, bateaux et avions, et les modes multijoueurs comprennent la Grand Race et la Demolition Royale. À l'origine conçu comme un DLC de The Crew 2, le titre est souvent rapproché de la série Forza Horizon pour sa structure festivalière. Le jeu propose un temps de completion de 21 heures et demie pour l'histoire principale et de 43 heures et demie pour un parcours complet, protégé par la DRM Ubisoft Connect et vendu au prix de 69,99 euros. La presse a salué ses progrès par rapport aux opus précédents, Gaming Age évoquant une nette amélioration et GameSpew le présentant comme le meilleur volet de la série pouvant rivaliser avec Forza Horizon 5, tandis que certains joueurs regrettent une expérience multijoueur gâchée par le comportement des autres participants en Grand Race, d'autres louant au contraire la liberté et le côté arcade du titre. L'agrégation des notes donne un score de 76 sur Metacritic, 77 sur OpenCritic et une note moyenne de 75,73.

« Overall, I’d say The Crew Motorfest is a big step up from the prior games in the series, and gives some hope for additional variety in open world racers in the future. Granted, it sticks pretty close to the same formula that Forza Horizon has, but there’s enough differences between the two to make this still feel like a worthwhile use of your time. It’s a gorgeous game in motion as well, which doesn’t hurt. As far as complaints go, mine are pretty minor, in that I don’t care for the limited fast travel system that’s only tied to the intro areas for each Playlist, and I wish the server didn’t time out as quickly as it does when you go idle. Outside of that, I’ve really dug Ubisoft’s latest attempt at an open-world racer, and I think you will too. »

« Single player races are quite fun, but multiplayer (Grand Races) are worst multiplayer experience ever. 19/20 of races are ruined by actions of other players. About half of those are intentional by grifters. That 1/20 are "no collision" mode races. Can't understand why there's so few of those.. »
