Sorti le 29 mars 2001 sur PlayStation, Smurf Racer est un jeu de course de type kart développé par Artificial Mind & Movement et édité par Infogrames. Le titre propose d'incarner l'un des huit personnages issus de l'univers des Schtroumpfs, quatre autres étant déverrouillables, pour s'affronter sur des circuits traversant divers climats et régions. Côté modes de jeu, on retrouve une campagne solo, un mode championnat ainsi qu'une épreuve de « Flag Race » reprenant le principe de la capture de drapeau.
L'accueil critique s'est révélé partagé. GameZone a souligné un titre capable d'occuper le joueur pendant des heures en laissant une impression globalement positive, tandis qu'un contributeur de Metacritic a vanté la qualité des graphismes et du gameplay, notant toutefois que le jeu divise les joueurs. À l'inverse, PSX Nation a jugé l'expérience dépourvue de la moindre originalité, estimant que ni la chanson thème ni les voix connues des personnages ne suffisaient à combler ce manque de fraîcheur.

« 3,2,1 SMURF! (known as Smurf Racer! in the USA) is a racing game for the original PlayStation with awesome graphics and gameplay. Many people hate this game, but I see no reason to. Nearly the same as Mario Kart for the SuperNES, but on a different level, with fresher graphics and level design due to the higher graphics capabilties of the PlayStation over the SuperNES. If you like racing games, you'll love 3,2,1 SMURF!. »
