NASCAR Heat 4
NASCAR Heat 4

« NASCAR Heat 4 gets it right with properly replicating NASCAR and the racing is the best the series has seen. The AI does a wonderful job of not ruining the experience and is a better opponent than people online. The Career Mode continues to be deep. About the only knock the game has is that there is no major new mode but the advancements are enough. You won’t be worrying about that when you’re racing. I feel the dedication to eSports brought upon this upgrade of on-track action and the visuals get the necessary jump to be considered a major player in racing games. NASCAR fans should absolutely pick up NASCAR Heat 4. »
« As with most sports games, NASCAR Heat 4 does not escape the "problem" that these types of titles usually have. The fourth installment of the NASCAR Heat series does not present much news. If you have never played any installment of this saga, then you will be impressed with its incredible graphic level, hilarious career mode and intense careers. On the other hand, if you have already played another installment, especially NASCAR Heat 3, we are sorry to tell you that you are going to take a major disappointment, because the changes with respect to the third installment are minimal. »
« Outside of those minor issues, NASCAR Heat 4 is an enjoyable racer that had no trouble making me want to take another lap around the track. »
« NASCAR Heat 4’s A.I. is a work in progress, the career mode is adequate, and the online suite is behind the times. Nevertheless, it’s the best offering to date even if it’s not totally dialed in, forcing you to get up on that steering wheel and dig deep for your spot on the track. »
« It's not making any sweeping changes but NASCAR Heat 4 manages to make the social aspects of the career more influential. Transitions from night to day compliment the already brilliant visuals, even if the small stutters remain present. Racing online and offline is still competitive, fun and the options make the package feel accessible. »
« NASCAR Heat 4 still has its issues, but Monster Games’ long overdue overhaul finally makes this the game that the series has always tried to be. »
« A dated and niche license receives the game that it deserves - shallow, simplistic and unsatisfying. Turn left before you get to the checkout. »

« NASCAR Heat 4 makes improvements on the racing physics but doesn’t meet the standards of current racing games. On PS4 each track has a glitch where the screen freezes for a half a second on turn one and turn four. It is very jarring when playing a racing game. I have also noticed screen tearing which I have never seen on a PS4 or Xbox One racing game ever. It is 30fps on PS4 with motion blur added for the feel of speed but it just doesn’t look good. I’m spoiled from playing GT Sport 60 fps and Forza 60 fps..even Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the Switch runs at a smooth 60 fps. In career mode the last two cars always catch up with me with about two laps to go and then slow way down just in front of me and I have no way of catching them. It’s very strange not realistic at all and not fun, it feels like work. Career mode in the shop feels like a mobile game. Picking your engineer and suspension mechanics is cool but it’s just a stock photo of random people no real presentation of a shop atmosphere just photos not even images of cars. NASCAR Heat I think has a ways to go to get the quality of the EA games in the past. I hope they just wait to release the next game February of 2021 with the beginning of the NASCAR season at Daytona. The DLC every year to get the next years drivers seems like a waste of time for the developers. »
« Great... if you like awfully designed racers with terribly unresponsive controls. »
« The game is fun, but the career mode was a big letdown because you can't win with a controller. If you want any chance to win in the career mode is with a steering wheel. Very disappointing. But it's easy with a controller on the quick play, or multiplayer mode. And I even tried putting the career mode on the easiest difficulty, but it is still impossible to do with a controller. I would give this game a 7 if you could play it with a controller. »
« Down right bad to the bone no doubt best nascar game yet consoles just need to catch up »
« Good game overall with a great campaign mode and nice feel from handling the cars. The option to customize your experience is awesome although the game graphics looks a little dated. Bottom line it is really fun to play and the AI is the best I've seen in a racing game. »
