Petz: Catz 2, connu au Japon sous le titre Nyanko to Mahou no Boushi et simplement Catz en Europe, est un jeu d’aventure et de simulation développé par Yuke’s et publié par Ubisoft. Sorti le 23 novembre 2007, il est disponible sur PC, Mac, Nintendo DS, PlayStation 2 et Wii. Le jeu est présenté comme une suite spirituelle de THE DOG Island : le joueur y incarne un jeune chaton qui part sauver le monde et récupérer le chapeau magique auprès du loup maléfique Ivlet.
L’aventure principale demande environ trois heures et demie, et un parcours complet peut aller jusqu’à onze heures. IGN a notamment souligné que le jeu emprunte des éléments à Animal Crossing pour les intégrer à un jeu d’aventure-RPG très léger. De leur côté, certains joueurs ont laissé des avis enthousiastes, évoquant un bon jeu et des souvenirs liés à la version PlayStation 2.

« It cribs elements of Animal Crossing and adheres them to a very light RPG-adventure game. If you have a Wii and a PlayStation 2, the Wii version is certainly preferable as the controls are kinda fun to use. »

« I would prefer the ps2 version over the okay wii version cause this one is stable and fun, sure the gameplay is repetitive and the game should have never been ported on the ps2 cause the ps2 was fading away well anyways the game is still good. »
