Outer Wilds is a critically-acclaimed and award-winning open world mystery about a solar system trapped in an endless time loop. The newest member of the space program in a small village on the planet Timber Hearth, the player navigates a space shuttle and travels across their solar system to get to the bottom of its mysteries by exploring the cosmos and gathering the knowledge hidden within each of the system's planets, left behind by another civilization in the distant past.

Welcome to the Space Program! You're the newest recruit of Outer Wilds Ventures, a fledgling space program searching for answers in a strange, constantly evolving solar system. What lurks in the heart of the ominous Dark Bramble? Who built the alien ruins on the Moon? Can the endless time loop be stopped? Answers await you in the most dangerous reaches of space. The planets of Outer Wilds are packed with hidden locations that change with the passage of time. Visit an underground city of before it's swallowed by sand, or explore the surface of a planet as it crumbles beneath your feet. Every secret is guarded by hazardous environments and natural catastrophes. Strap on your hiking boots, check your oxygen levels, and get ready to venture into space. Use a variety of unique gadgets to probe your surroundings, track down mysterious signals, decipher ancient alien writing, and roast the perfect marshmallow.

If you love No Man's Sky, this life-changing single-player space game is now cheaper than ever
There are a few games that I wish I could play for the first time again. Kingdom Hearts 2, Subnautica, and Minecraft, to name a few, but if I had a Neuralizer from Men in Black, I'd wipe my memory of Outer Wilds. As a fan of the best space games and someone who loves a good ol' time-looping adventure, I admire the mechanical brilliance of Outer Wilds, but the narrative alone makes it a big enough reason to buy this game, and right now it's down to its cheapest price ever. When you think of the greatest space games, it's easy to default to scale. The thousands of planets of Starfield, the infinite galaxies of No Man's Sky, the swirling systems of Eve Online, and the sheer expanse of Elite Dangerous. Outer Wilds is different. It's smaller, tighter, meticulously designed down to the smallest grain of sand. Yet despite that, or perhaps because of it, developer Mobius Digital created the most enrapturing and memorable game about interstellar exploration ever made. « This game is the best entertainment experience I've ever had in my life. It's perfect, not only in its absurdly good story, but also in the hyper-complex concepts of modern physics and astrophysics that they managed to incorporate so naturally, in the gameplay that immerses you on a bizarre level even without any progression, and in the ending... Oh, the ending of this game... I really wanted to talk about it, but this game is the worst possible place to get spoilers, so I'll spare you, but the ending of this game is the best science fiction ending I've ever seen in my life (In fact, Outer Wilds is the best science fiction I've ever seen). All of this is about the base game; in the DLC, add a 2x multiplier to everything I've said, and it manages to be better than something that's already perfect. Just be careful because it has a lot of psychological horror elements and some jump scares, but for me, that made everything much better and more immersive. Trust me, you need to play this game. 10/10 »
